EasyDriveUSA electric power steering; wiring diagram or instructions?
Those add-ons are not the problem.. The totally loose wires is the problem.

EasyDriveUSA electric power steering; wiring diagram or instructions?
Thanks SteveJ! It looks like that is the same product.. I sent them an email through that webpage.. Let's see whether they can/will help.. If you others happen to have that same electric power steering and the wiring diagram is still available I would appreciate if I could get the wiring diagram, if possible.. Thanks!

Z Car Depot out of business / closed down?
Do you know if Z Car Depot has been closed down / is out of business? I've sent them some questions on some of their products via email and their own webpage a week ago, but haven't got no answer / reaction what so ever..

EasyDriveUSA electric power steering; wiring diagram or instructions?
Hey guys, I have a 240Z 1973, bought it from Germany in February. The previous owner got a electric power steering installed (unfortunately cannot get any knowledge from him..). This power steering was working when I got the car, but now, since I installed some additional gauges and other electrical stuff in the car, it doesn't work anymore.. I found at least one loose (black) wire and automatically thought it is the ground, installed it to the ground, but the power steering still does not work.. A box of it has a sticker saying "easydriveusa.com" on it. Tried to google to find a wiring diagram for it, but no hits what so ever got... Has anyone of you any idea where I could get the wiring diagram for that EasyDriveUSA electric power steering? I appreciate any help on this! Thanks.

eAutoSmart Traders (and supporting sites): I WOULDN'T TRUST AT ALL!!
I have found out that (thanks to great help from some of you and especially Zed Head and jonbill) eAutoSmart Traders (www.eautosmart.com) and all the forum sites supporting its name and reputation reg. experiences IS to my understanding A TOTAL HOAX. DO NOT TRUST IT (I wouldn't, now, as many of you also pointed out). As jonbill checked and noted, the owner of www.eautosmart.com site is an individual person somewhere in Russia... Here's the list of my google search that mention eAutoSmart Traders. Every single one of those so called forum sites is owned by a single person (with a Bulgarian name) supposedly living / registered in Yuma AZ: https://www.google.com/search?q=eautosmart+traders&client=firefox-b-d&ei=mb4yXumkDrSYk74Pg7im0AE&start=10&sa=N&ved=2ahUKEwip1bbmnKvnAhU0zMQBHQOcCRoQ8NMDegQICxA9&biw=1366&bih=626 And those sites are the only ones that even mention that eAutoSmart... I almost fell for it (I was suspicious from the gekko though..), it sounded too good to be true.. Here's the thread if you are interested to know a bit further:

Do you recognise this 240Z?
I just did some further digging in internet about those websites that mention in anyway eAutoSmart or eAutoSmart Traders: https://www.google.com/search?q=eautosmart+traders&client=firefox-b-d&ei=mb4yXumkDrSYk74Pg7im0AE&start=10&sa=N&ved=2ahUKEwip1bbmnKvnAhU0zMQBHQOcCRoQ8NMDegQICxA9&biw=1366&bih=626 Every one (every single one) of those so called forum sites that mention eAutoSmart (and of course in quite positive manner) is owned by a one single person (with Bulgarian name) supposedly living in Yuma AZ (as jonbill pointed earlier out about two of them)...! Total scam, the whole thing. Even a site which to looked like the official Texas dmv portal is owned by that same person (if that really even exists...). I'll start a new thread about this scam to warn everybody else. I think it would be good to spread the word around to as many real forums as possible.. Once again, THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR ADVICE AND HELP IN THIS!! ESPECIALLY ZED HEAD AND JONBILL. I OWE YOU A COUPLE...

Do you recognise this 240Z?
Zed Head (and w3wilkes), thanks for the links to the Z registry. I checked those all, couldn't find anything with the VIN I was provided: It is HLS30151223. Most likely it is totally fabricated (to my understanding the structure is ok though). Hotmusclecars.com where I found originally found that Datsun 240Z for sale has now two identical ads of this very same car (atleast the photos are the same), one in TN and one in Virginia (which ad I answered originally). Hotmusclecars.com is owned by an individual person, also in AZ (different though than with the ones jonbill posted here). The whole thing (atleast the eAutoSmart Traders) is a hoax.

Zed Head, do you mean this link above? Yes, I've read pretty much all of their pages on their web site.. I've had email conversation going on with them from early on, I'll keep it up for a little while. But thanks to jonbill's findings I will not buy anything from them (well, most likely nothing can be bought..).

Do you recognise this 240Z?
This thing could be solved very easily if I could get the contact with the current owner of this car (to know whether he/she put it up for sale..). So there is no official registry where with VIN one could find out official info of the car?

Do you recognise this 240Z?
I just send some additional questions to them, f.ex. do they have a phone number to call and discuss and my suggestion for payment (basically CAD, cash against the documents, i.e. title and transfer of ownership). Probably they do not answer or will not accept.. But this starts to be irrelevant...

Wau... That is totally something I did not know... How / where did you find those out? This most likely changes everything... Thank you so much for this info!

Do you recognise this 240Z?
I know the escrow account scheme well. The emails from eAutoSmart Traders say that I do not need to pay anything until I (my rep has) have received the vehicle for inspection. I have 10 days time to inspect it. Then I need to inform whether it is ok or not. If I say ok, I need to pay (not earlier, according to their specific info in the emails, contrary what they have on their webpages). Once I have paid I get the title. If I say not ok, they will take the vehicle away (with no cost to me). That is what they have said. I know it sounds promising but a bit too good to be true.. They have also written via emails: "the car is in good condition, no technical damages at all, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects. The interior is in virtually spotless condition. The seats are clean and not torn. The exterior is in excellent condition, tires are in good shape, brakes work well. This vehicle has never been into any accident. It comes with all the documents needed for registration, it has a clear and clean title and it can be registered into your name at any time. Just serviced. We have no knowledge of any hidden defects with this vehicle." If the car had some according to their "terms and conditions" I have the right to say no thank you after inspection.. As said, sounds promising..

That is the thing why I am suspicious.. But, if they really do what they are promising (deliver the car to my rep's address free of charge and my rep checks the car and test drives it, and not until then I need to pay) I am wondering, where and how I can loose... They have also said that if I (my rep) say ok to the car after the inspection, they send their legal rep to give my rep the title.. That's why I now am trying to figure out whether the car even exist (legally and officially), yhus whether the VIN helps in that.. I have their stock ID; the very same info and pictures which I've seen earlier.. Thanks

I got the VIN of the car. I've already checked whether the structure of it is the correct; it is. Is it safe to publish it here? Can one get some more in-depth info from some official registries on the car with the VIN?: Maybe the current owner, whether it really exist (and are not f.ex. written off/salvaged etc.) and so on? If yes, how and where?

Do you recognise this 240Z?
It's not for sale through AutoTrader.. The rep of the owner (seller) is eAutoSmart Traders. On Firefox which I normally use that "search for this image" is not an option.. But will try to use some other browser.

Do you recognise this 240Z?
Thanks. Those neither worked on my Firefox. Haven't tried it (yet) on other browers. That gnovmarketing is NOT the current seller, most likely: That party sold the car in Nov 2018 via BaT auction to the winning bidder = "TheBartels". So, if the deal happened eventually back then, the current seller probably is that TheBartels..
-
Do you recognise this 240Z?
Back in Nov 2018 in BaT auction the winning bidder seems to be a nickname "TheBartels". Would anyone happen to know him/her? As I wrote earlier, unfortunately I couldn't get any user info on him/her nor could I send any private mail within BaT..

Sorry! That grammatical error was my bad... I missed the word send...

Do you recognise this 240Z?
I did that google search on eAutoSmart Traders also right after I was contacted by them as per my first info request about the car. I have a sort of a friend (a friend of a friend of mine), a Finn couple whose company is SC. To my understanding their only business is inspecting and buying vehicles and shipping them to Finland (or elsewhere in Northern Europe). My idea is (if this eAutoSmart Traders is trustworthy) to get that 240Z shipped for free to them and they inspect & test drive it and report the findings to me. If the car is as per expected they ship it to me to Finland. So that has been kind of taken care of already.. How does it go?: If that SC company is in person making a deal on behalf of me (thus I wouldn't be there in person) can they get the title of the car transferred to my name on behalf of me? Can it be handled using a power of attorney or a mandate? Or do I need to be there in person?

Do you recognise this 240Z?
Yes.. Those pics are the same which I posted here, because I picked them up from that BaT sales ad from Nov 2018. In the ad from couple of weeks ago there were 1 or 2 of the same and 2 different pictures (these I didnt't copy here because I wanted and hoped that the current owner of it (or a person who knows the current owner) would see them and could tell me if this car really is for sale..). I asked some additional pictures already at the start of the conversation with the rep of a seller (eAutoSmart) but they said the car is their storage / warehouse elsewhere... (possible red flag). Thus didn't get any.

Do you recognise this 240Z?
Yep, naturally (since I am in Finland..). As per eAutoSmart Traders' info on their web pages they always use their own escrow account system. Then again, they get paid by the sellers (no a dime from buyers), so in the end, they will be bowing to the seller.. In addition, I have a Finnish owned business (kinda a friend) is SC which would take care of the delivery from US to Finland.

Thanks. Tried that, didn't work on Chromium, Firefox nor MS Edge.. Damn..

Addition: BaT published my question to the winning bidder. Hope that he/she sees it there...

Do you recognise this 240Z?
Addition: I got an answer from eAutoSmart Traders: "As soon as you (meaning me) decide to keep the vehicle we will our legal representative to you and he will handle the title transfer on your name." Probably at this point at the latest I would need to pay to eAutoSmart Traders.. And naturally this procedure saves the owner of the vehicle.

Do you recognise this 240Z?
The ad gives quite little info of it. I contacted "the seller" through the web page and got an answer from eAutoSmart Traders. They are acting as the seller (on behalf of the real owner I guess) saying they have inspected the car and among other things promised a free shipping to my address (before the payment for the car needed to be made) for inspection and test drive.. Sounds really promising.. A bit too good to be true, maybe.. They are also saying (both in emails and on their web site) if the car is not as per expected by me it can be returned to them without any cost to me.. Their web pages look trustworthy though.. I asked whether the title comes literally with the car to the inspection & test drive or do they send the title after the payment has arrived at them, I did not (yet atleast) get an answer.. I guess theat is the point where they could screw me over (not sending the title before some big big additional payment or not sending the title at all). What do you think, how could they screw me over if they really send the car to my address for inspection? Do you guys have any experience or knowledge whether eAutoSmart Traders is any good? Thanks!
