Fixed blow Head gasket but now the oil is white 1980 280zx
Hey guys, I'm kinda freaking out, I just blew my head gasket and my car was billowing white smoke and stuff, but the oil was still normally colored, not creamy. The head gasket had blow near cylinder 6. So I replaced the head gasket and then engine started up no white smoke and it was sounding beautiful. But when I started it, there was antifreeze coming off the timing chain (I started it without the valve cover on). I thought that was really weird, but I was an idiot and put the valve cover on and ran it for a couple minutes and then when I checked the oil was pure white. Is there anything that would have caused that besides a crack in the block or head. Did I miss something when I was putting the head back on? The oil wasn't white, just the exhaust. I am lost. Please help! Thanks so much

1980 280zx Running Extremely Rich with Bad Gas Mileage
Hey I recently got 1980 280zx from my dad and one of the first things I noticed is that I was getting really bad gas mileage (10 mpg). So I did all the normal things to try and remedy the problem such as: new air filter, new fuel filter, new spark plugs and wires, checked the cap and rotor, adjusted the ignition timing, tuned the valves. And for some reason I'm still getting 10 miles to the gallon. I also checked my spark plugs again recently, and they are very black. I believe that means the engine is running rich. Does anyone have any ideas of why my car could be running so rich and getting bad gas mileage? Or a way to test? Thanks you so much!!

1980 280zx ECU Swap Dilemma
So I believe the ECU on my 1980 280zx went bad, so I ordered a new one off of ebay to test it. But there was a problem: they sent me one for an for a 1981 280zx. I was going to send it back, but before I did that I thought I'd ask; would it work on my car? I did some research online and found that it should, but I didn't get anything definite. Does anyone know if the one year difference in the make of the ECU will affect that car? The plugin looks the same if that makes any difference. The part number I got was A11-618-427. I believe the part number I need A11-604-420

1980 280zx Fuel Pump won't shut off.
I have a 1980 280zx and it when I put the key in to on position, the fuel pump turns on and floods the engine with gas, causing the engine to lock in place. Any idea of what might be causing that?
