yes. the refurb from Motorsports came with that and the pushrod tied down really well. i installed in then removed the tie down to put on the MC. btw, the brakes do work but not as good as i want...so a re-bleed will have to happen and see if that addresses the issue.

i did not. i was just thinking as i didnt even press the brakes nothing got pushed and going to create an air pocket...that is my crazy thinking though

I took off brake booster to replace. Do i need rebleed brakes? They were fine before swap/

ordered something couple weeks ago from them. Called them and was told still you need to call to make sure what you want is in stock as website isnt updated according to on hand inventory. Strange. btw, they told me multiple times my item was on way when it wasn't but is in stock. This is more than once they've done this to me.

Got a new set of bumpers. Very nice. Holes for bumper guards are not there on either front or rear. Anyone have any measurements. Rather not just ballpark it

I am putting all new seals on car. The ones around rear hatch areas are giving me trouble. They dont wanna stay put. Any tricks of the trade? I am thinking i need a lot of clamps and do a little at a time, let it dry, then do a little more. I have the 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Just hate using it....it gets everywhere. Do ya'll put a dab into the weatherstrip channel or on along the hatch lip?

Just got to my car. Yikes. Door plate say 5/71. back window stripes are vertical. All this tells me its a series 1, yes? However, the pillar emblems are series 2. I even have a set of series 1 emblems and tried to see if they'd fit...they wouldnt.

On a side note, i have a decent console (series 1) that fits. Its scratched up and dirty. cleaned it several times but keeps looking scratchy. Can anyone advise on something that might work better to clean it up and make it shine better? Has anyone gotten good results spray painting it. Saw motorsports has a reproduction for sale. I am not sure. The car is at a z specialist mechanic shop. I took it b/c i was having an electric issue i couldn't fix. Its sadly been sitting and sitting there. Will check on this though. Can you tell me what the diff. is in regard to vertical/horizontal?

thanks all. makes more sense now. it does bolt up on brackets fine. wondering what other parts on it may be a series 1. shouldnt matter at this point though, most of whats left is interior like vinyl carpet etc

Ah. It may be an 8/71 will check it when i can. In a previous post i think we established an A tranny. I remember something about some wiggle in the shifter that needed taking out with a washer or bolt and nut

I guess its possible the door tag is wrong but i dont see how the emblem towers could be?

My VIN is HLS3032348 I dont have car in front of me but i think prod. date was either 09/71 or 10/71 Based on pillar emblems (round z) though its a series 2.

here is the console that came in my 71 240z series 2. It fits, but Is it just me or is this a series 1? Are they interchangeable? If its a series 1, i want it all to be original.... can someone post a pic of their series 2 please? Also, if you know where to get one in VG shape or better let me know. How much should one cost btw?

I like the King Rewinds. As for 15 or 16.....i will consider 16s but just seemed like too much for my taste. just imo the 15 looked better

Can someone give me an idea where to start with this? DO i pick out the tires first or wheels? based on what i have read in other posts here a good wheel/tire is 205/50R15? Would a bolt pattern 4x100 be the proper one for a 71 240z? I see some that are 110 or 114....not sure about that

I have seen lot of posts here....many seem to say all car covers can scratch or damage car paint.... I have to move my car by trailer. Cant seem to get a covered car hauler.... So i am wondering if there are any car covers that might prove useful while transporting a car?

sorry for taking so long to reply. with battery connected and key off s terminal is at 12.34 (as expected) L terminal at .01 (as expected) with battery connected and key on at L terminal .01 (not expected, battery voltage) I am including some images of me using meter with results. Also a couple of connections. Not sure where to go from here. If i had to "guess" i would say i likely messed up the alternator conversion plug somehow
