The Z Car Club of Rochester NY is pleased to present MOTOR FEST 2014 three fun filled days of activities for the automotive enthusiast to be held the weekend of July 18-20, 2014! As in the past, this is a charity event with this year's beneficiary the Dream Factory of Rochester. Learn more about them here: Dream Factory of Rochester - Make a Child's Dream Come True The R.I.T. Inn & Conference Center is the host hotel for the event. The RIT I&CC is conveniently located near NYS Thruway exit 46 and Interstate 390 just south of Rochester NY. Our Schedule: FRI 7/18: Kickoff party 6pm at the host hotel. ( RIT Inn & Conference Center ). SAT 7/19: Morning road rally from the hotel to Watkins Glen International, ( Watkins Glen International - Watkins Glen International ),three laps on the track. Stops on the way back for wineries, antiquing, lunch. SAT EVENING 7/19: Dinner buffet in the hotel ballroom followed by a charity auction. Screening of Dave Levinson's film "Some People Collect Stamps" of the 1971 SCCA runoffs. After the film a live concert in the ballroom by the Josie Waverly Band (Josie Waverly ? Official Site ). SUN 7/20: 7th Annual Jonathan Krenzer Memorial car & motorcycle show at the Elks Lodge 1066 Jackson Road Webster NY. The car show will still be at the Elks Lodge in nearby Webster NY. On display will be 240Zs HLS30-00006 (the original BSR #33), 00008 (the Hot Wheels Asphalt Attack car), 000013 (the first Z sold to the public) AND Ron Carter's tribute of the BRE #46 240Z as well as Dave Levinson's BRE 510 tribute car. Also several Z, 510 and NASCAR race cars never seen before in a show. Any strut bar makes a difference, the Cusco looks great as well. When I restored my '70 I also put in MSA's beefier front AND REAR sway bars. Working with the strut bar, the car tracks much tighter, it is a noticiable improvement. Those strut towers really flex with the 240's thin sheet metal. The 240Z did not come with a rear sway bar, although the '73s had the brackets for them. If you like to drive enthusiastically, I highly recommend the sway and strut bars.

The heater box assembly itself is the same '70-'73. If your heater core is bad, a radiator shop can repair it. In fact, have it refreshed NOW while the box is out of the car! I have a complete heater box assembly from a '73. Email me: jrt3833@hotmail.com if interested.

That's not a beige interior, it's dirty white. Nissan didn't offer a beige interior on the 240Z. From everything I see, it's a 131,000 mile car all day long. But it still seems to be fairly solid for the asking price in SoCal, it would be more in the northeast. Good Luck!
