I'm just a Gen-Xer with a passion for my cars and bikes, i started building cars in my garage with my Dad and big brother since i could walk, rebuilt my first engine when i was eight with my big brother (13 yrs. older), and yes i mean i was turning wrenches, not sitting in the garage watching. I love working on cars and bikes, it is peaceful and relaxing for me, even when it's not going my way i still enjoy it. My reason for joining this forum is i own a 79 Fairlady 280Z S130 (Yes, it is a Fairlady, it's a JDM spec Righthand drive with a 5spd manual, and no it's not a 280ZX), and it had been sitting in a barn for 20 yrs. because the fuel pump went out (My big brother just let it sit there). After several years of complaining about the car he final sold it to me. It's been sitting in my garage for a couple of years and i am ready to get started on rebuilding the car. The car holds a lot of sentimental meaning to me and my brother, for me it's the car i took my driving test in almost 30 yrs. ago, and for both of us our Mother passed away in 2017 and she wanted to see the car restored and told us both that we better never sell it. So, come hell or high water it will be back on the road. So i am here to hopefully source parts and build some relationships. and of course, get help and advice....
