  1. Crazy. I looked that tank place up and lived almost across the street from it a long time ago. Totally forgot where that house was. Thanks for the memory jog and happy holidays. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, lots of rubberized undercoating. It’s like an iced cake. I think it may have been from the dealer. Probably a bit obsessive but I have a few areas where the plastic is cracked and needs repaired Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Same old story, more slow than steady. Of course the holidays didn’t help. I been waiting for a spot to open up in the shop to so I can bring mine over and in. We have a car that’s basically been in storage in the shop since I’ve worked there that I started on this week. So hopefully I’ll be in soon. Can’t wait for shop tools and “late nights”. Figured I’d see what the core support looks like. And playing with my fender liners One mostly clean After sitting with a lacquer thinner soaked rag Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s funny, I wondered if I was bolted down too. At work we have a heavy duty 4 post lift and my boss says they don’t require them to be bolted down. Ours is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. These are pretty close to stock, but have threaded caps. Edit: Another slight difference is that these do not have a horizontal “seam” in the plastic like the originals. These work for my ZX, not positive the earlier ones are the same size. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3558&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=3558&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_aS83ZzR7AIVho3ICh03PQJiEAQYASABEgLM5PD_BwE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Na, it’s a cross rod bar. It’s like a steering box set up on a pickup. It links one side to the other. Might be hard to find https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic20o02b/23-4442 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Slow progress. Been messing with naval jelly in the battery tray and booster area. Wire wheeled to get the crust off. After naval jelly soaked over night covered in plastic wrap Another round And a before and almost after. Still more work to do but much nicer to look at. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. I work for a small garage that’s in an industrial complex. Old neighbors specialized in 1938-1948 V-12 Lincoln Continental and Zephyr cars but would never see anything there. New neighbors are much more active and have some customers with some seriously sweet cars. Makes our lot look like salvage yard. This morning they’ve run several up the road and boy do they sound good. Every time I hear one I run out the door like a little kid just to get a peek. 1971 Lamborghini Miura 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Im sorry, you say you are looking at the “pro” level guns. It may just come down to getting one that is similarly laid out to what you are already comfortable with or deciding what you don’t like about your current one and finding one that addresses that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, a lot of variables and the biggest is inexperience. Probably give a good painter a cheap gun and not optimally reduced paint and will still lay it silky smooth, then give a novice the best of everything set up perfect and not produce good results Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just bought a Warwick 904 HE HPLV gun. I’m inexperienced and have not used it yet. It’s supposed to be a good quality gun at a reasonable price. Spent about $280 for a kit that comes with an additional size tip/needle set. I believe it’s a Iwata clone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Slow progress on platting prep but I’ll get there eventually. Some hose clamps in progress After some time in a vinegar bath and some brushing. Did find some small holes I the bracket and in the fender. Forgot to take a finished pics but just stripped it and put a light coat of cheap paint on to keep it till epoxy starts. One done Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did a clutch in a 06ish Mustang not too long ago and was surprised to see thin red fluid coming from the tail when it dropped down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve got most things removed from the engine bay. Decided remove the battery mount so I can “clean” up underneath it. Just to hard to properly work on without removing it. It’s the only really rusty area in the bay. The other side has some surface rust from spilled brake fluid but is not as ugly. It looks pretty rough but all the metal seems to be solid. No holes other than what I created with my first attempt at drilling out the spot welds. Couldn’t find a decent bit. Bottom holes freed up easier with a good bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. If this is what you are doing, you just do the same that you have done if you have already determined your ride height. You don’t have to cut the whole thing out at once and may only want to remove as little as possible to get enough clearance for the tire. Do it a little at time. Jack up the tire till it hits. Look straight up at it and mark and trim some off, repeat till satisfied or sick feeling in stomach takes over. If you have a lot of tire hanging out then you could put the flare up and mark a “cut no higher than line” then cut an arch out. I would also work my way out to that line too just to be careful.
