  1. I just checked the link that Steve J posted in your other thread. I think a 90 degree elbow of the right size should work. https://www.fillernecksupply.com/fuel-hose-elbows/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. I might have seen one here. I know nothing about the seller. https://maseraticompound.com/collections/datsun-280zx?page=1 I don’t think I’ve seen any new or reproduced ones. Also, sorry it’s a lot of unorganized parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks guys. Yeah, I think my statement of “kind of pain” is an understatement. Will have to grab one or two. I end up doing brake lines more often than I like and am always reluctant because of that tool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. How about something like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-35-Piece-Standard-SAE-and-Metric-Polished-Chrome-Mechanics-Tool-Set/3387640?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-tol-_-google-_-lia-_-218-_-mechanicstools-_-3387640-_-0&placeholder=null&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI96iR68bC8AIV0AeICR0FtQgpEAQYCSABEgLbEPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds With a nut driver bit like this in it, possibly modified/shortened https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-IMPACT-RATED-3-Piece-1-4-in-Nutsetter-Impact-Driver-Bit-Set/1000600279?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-tol-_-google-_-lia-_-215-_-pta-drillinganddriving-_-1000600279-_-0&placeholder=null&ds_rl=1286981&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI88LSu8fC8AIVjwWICR07XQ1xEAQYESABEgLYm_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Or basically a 1/4” ratcheting wrench and a modified nut driver bit. I might have to check that style out Tweeds. I have been using the other kind but it’s sort of a pain in the but and I don’t always get consistent results. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure where your leak is but you can replace only a portion of the line if the rest of it is still ok. You need access to a double flare tool though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah, I would siphon it out. If you have an air supply, blowout nozzle, and a length of hose, you have a simple vacuum/siphon setup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I think mine used to do that. I want to say that you can pull up on one side of it while twisting. I ended up swapping my lock over to another cap. That was fairly simple. That was because I ran it over though, ha. Now I’m cautious not to over tighten it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve got two that are not quite as separated and I’ve thought about getting/using some liquid electrical tape Edit: I can’t remember the brand I used before for something different, but it was thick and dried to a soft rubber consistently kinda like RTV/silicone. I thought about using Plasti Dip and just noticed they make a electric tape version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Coolant leaks can be pain to track down sometimes, especially if they are small because the hot motor will dry them up and then may not leak once the pressure drops. Look for signs of dried coolant (whiteish crust/corrosion or may be tinted the color of your coolant) around any water connection and fitting, and along any hose and pipe. Thermostat housing and its connection to the head. You should also have a line that runs from the T housing to heat an air control valve that’s on top of the intake manifold and back across the front of the motor. Hoses on the passenger side that go to the bypass and to the heater core. Heater core/ floor damp/ coolant smell inside. And possibly finally, check for signs of wet or dry coolant all over the radiator. Mine had tiny leak in the core and on top end where the support piece attaches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hard to say without seeing more. What I believe I see is “boxed out” frame rails and at least a patch welded in there at the driver’s foot well and not much else, meaning they just patched those areas and didn’t do a crazy full resto. Could be ok, could be more to do I’m not that familiar with the earlier Zs so I’m sure others will have more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I’m not sure about the 260 but capping off the vapor line my ZX causes excess pressure and gas will sometimes shoot out the fuel filler neck when you remove the cap. Not just a little spray, more like douse you!!! It has to at least be vented. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was surprised when I found carpets for the ZX on Rockauto. They look pretty decent and have a couple of options to chose from. No idea on quality. I didn’t look for earlier Zs but would assume they do since they have them for the less loved ZX’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just noticed the radio in this stock looking anniversary edition ZX and remembered this thread. Has under 20k on it. Silver, not mostly black, but similar Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. They look similar to the LS1/LS2 coils. If you haven’t seen it, Godzillaraceworks makes a mounting bracket for them for reference https://www.godzillaraceworks.com/ignition/l6-coil-bracket-for-gm-ls1ls2-ignition-coils-pre-order Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. My ZX has a black bendable one that was there when I bought it similar to this one https://www.carid.com/scosche/1979-nissan-280zx-antennas/scosche-antenna-adapter-3180894646.html?relationshipId=3603569300&childId=2656657539&offermpnid=1558167&view=637289&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9cCyr5Do7wIVGrbICh09jwmgEAQYAyABEgLZXPD_BwE Cheapest route https://zcardepot.com/collections/280zx/products/antenna-hole-rubber-plug-240z-260z-280z-280zx Same place has power ones for a fair price. No idea on quality https://zcardepot.com/collections/280zx/products/antenna-power-electric-radio-240z-260z-280z-280zx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if this is ok but heads up on someone selling leftover parts from a 72 build. https://www.zcar.com/threads/1972-datsun-240z-parts-for-sale.421682/ Not associated with seller and do your homework Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
