  3. I told the seller the problem, and i'm waiting for a response.
  4. Get rid of what?? Don't have the carbs yet.
  5. I forgot I have that book "how to modify your nissan & datsun ohc engine", and there's the formula right there on page 111. Looks like a DCOE 45 is the minimum, I could even run the 48's. Crap!! well I haven't sent the money yet. I think I'd rather take the negative ebay rep, than get something that wont work for my set up. So running 3 of these DCOE 42's isn't as good as running 2 50mm SU's??

  7. I guess these carbs were made for the Maserati 3500 GT (3.5 litre?)
  8. I just won an ebay auction for tripple weber's/manifold/linkage http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4504249520&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT problem is, I found out how uncommon these carbs are. Can someone tell me if these are worth the money i'm about to spend?? and if they would be better than the bored SU carbs I have on my car now??

Selling my 280Z 2+2 flywheel (240mm). Only 15,000 miles on it (was brand new when put in with my new engine) also selling with the 2+2 clutch collar. I recently acquired a lightend flywheel, and didn't want the 2+2 flywheel to go to waste. 100.00 dollars

thanks, I was thinking, why the hell do I have extra bolts!!! well, this flywheel is 10 pounds lighter, so hopefully, it will make an improvement.

I know the 240mm flywheel requires 9 pressure plate bolts(just got done taking mine off), but does the 240z-280z ,225mm flywheel only require 6??? I put on my new lightend flywheel today (still waiting on clutch next week) and I noticed only 6 holes were there. I couldn't remember if this was right. There isn't a difference between a 240Z and early 280Z flywheel, is there??

I thought about getting a Centerforce clutch. I'm just not sure what the benefit would be to getting a centerforce 2 over a centerforce 1. I have a 3.0L stroker with a lightened flywheel (replacing the 240mm 2+2 flywheel with a 15 lb 225mm) I noticed that the centerforce 2 was about 3 lbs more. Will the benefits of a stronger clutch offset the extra weight??? I also have heard that the centerforce 1 clutches were basically the same as stock?? The clutch I have in now hasn't ever 'slipped', so I was kinda hoping to get away with buying the cheaper and lighter centerforce 1.
  14. thanks, that's what I thought. It's been awhile since I messed with my drive line.
  15. I just purchased a lightened flywheel (used). It came out of a 240z. I have an 83 5 speed with 280z clutch parts (clutch collar, clutch slave cylinder, clutch fork) question is can I still use these parts with this flywheel?? Or do I have to buy new 240z clutch parts. I thought the flywheel was the same on the Z models through 83, except for the 2+2 versions. I seem to remeber that if you used the same year clutch with parts, you'd be fine. Is this correct??
  16. I'm interested, if no one has bought them yet.

well, there is a large z community here(texas z clubs) but I don't see to many of them on the road. I was at the Texas Datsun/Nissan show in Austin a couple of weeks ago. Saw some really great cars there.

I'm wearing a few hats there. I will be helping with the handling the corporate loaner cars, helping with the facilities dept, and HR department, and it looks like the most interesting part of my job is going to be working under the manager of corporate communications for the southern region.

Thanks. I was going for a lemans blue, or close to it. Can't drink coffee WHILE i drive(suspension way to stiff, and no cup holders). I usually finish it just before I open my garage door.

Woot!! Started working at Nissan (NMAC) in Irving Texas a couple of days ago. Nothing like going to work in the morning, with my 240Z, a cup of coffee, and seeing that Nissan badge on the building.
  21. Your Miura. Love this car
  22. Jeremy Clarkson put the 240Z at 24(might have been 26) on his list of top 100 cars.

anyone know the redline of a 3.0L stroker? I when I asked Rebello about my 3.0L they said, well, "everyone shifts at 7000" So I guess it's the same redline as before the mods??

I'd sure love to have a pair myself. Just can't see paying over 600 bucks for em. Why they didn't make ALL tail lights like the euro style is beyond me.
