got these from www.hart-photography.com- Video from MSR another angle
there was a Lotus Exige that just was able to keep up for one reason or another.. he had a camera.. check it out.. god i love the fact I can hear my exhaust note over his haha.. I almost loose it at around 9:50 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4693256148515101698&hl=en- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
here's a shot from the outside of the car... btw.. this was my first run, so not really going that fast.. but hey.. it sill looks good out there ahaha http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8722459885240307769- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR

thanks Chris.. haha, I'll be in the area dropping off a trailer I borrowed on Saturday.. maybe I could drop off the header then? unless you want me to bring the car by and take it off there... had fun getting it out of the shop that night hahaha.- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
well, lets see not sure of all the specs... I dyno'd it once 2 years ago with a 2-1/2 inch exhaust, adjusted valves wrong, damaged coil (bad spark) and plug gaps were set wrong and still put 200 to the wheels... since then, I figured how to tune this car hahah, I had my friend weld me up a 3 inch exhaust with a universal muffler from Topspeed Auto(his Z is pushing around 450 whp on high boost haha). I'd guess 220-230 whp? Rebello states this motor shoud be around 275 at the flywheel... I wasnt' to concerned with numbers at the time of the build to tell you the truth. I do know its a true 3.0L.. not 2.9 something. stroker crank, 240Z rods. head is a ported N42 with the cam being around something like a 500 lift(cant remember duration) The intake is bored as well as the SU carbs. (50mm each with shaved needles) Dave Rebello would probably have better specifics.. Mike Yoes did the head work. (I think he's running his own shop now)..- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
and for a little humor.. this is what happens when you dont tighten your camera all the way hahahah camera gets owned... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5174561133833764587&hl=en- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
sure was a blast... the 240Z still demands respect on a road course..all the instructors wanted to take it for a spin.. in fact I think it was a crowd favorite.. on one of my sessions I got a little misfire and shut her down... and babied her into the pits... felt good when everyone was asking if it was ok.. I think I just cooked my coil.. I changed it.. and went back on the track and everything seemed ok for my last run. Then after I got home, I check and found a crack on a header weld.. exhaust leak right under my rear carb.. that could have been the problem as well.- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
here's another session on the same track... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8548603149841890294&hl=en- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
more video.. I should have some video soon from a couple sources from outside the car...one on the bleachers and one from an exige that I passed and he stayed up with me for a bit...- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
yeah, I made my exhaust so loud that's all the mic would pick up .. but seriously, there a "wind cut" feature on my camera...not sure how it works, but it does.- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
no, thats the old one... but yeah, that link is wrong... here ya go http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3075240730686894215&hl=en- Dreco's Lap Footage at MSR
yep, finally got the Z back on the track.. Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, TX. This is my first day on the new section. total track length is 3.1 miles. I did this through www.thedriversedge.net They have 4 run groups based on driving experience.(lowest to highest) green, blue, yellow, red. I was in yellow. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3...94215&hl=en- Let's see some wheels!
Black Panasports 16X7- added a couple more things
new side decals to help break of some of that blue put on some driving lights- here's a high res pic of my Z
the front is a Kaminari front. The side skirts and rear skirt are from Motorsport Auto... the rear spoiler I bought off of a friend... looks like the one msa offers. here's a pic with my driving lights installed in the Kaminari spoiler.- here's a high res pic of my Z
my friend hasn't sent that one to me yet..:disappoin- here's a high res pic of my Z
friend of mine took this pic.. figured I'd share..- just an update on the Z
Motorsport Auto- just an update on the Z
as soon as I get out to the track... 2006 was a crap year for the Z...between the body shop, mechanical problems and lack of funds, the Z sat most of the year in a garage haha. my Kaminari spoiler came with no holes, so you gotta tape it up there to mark your mounting holes... getting the turn signal lenses can also be a bit of a pain.. just take your time.. and remember that your spoiler probably won't clear parking space blocks or curbs :classic:- Best Camcorder for "in car" Video?
I have one of those DVD-Ram camera's works great... even has a remote...(comes in handy when your straped to the Corbeau seat...I even used it in my friends Porsche Cup Car... vibrations didn't hurt it at all... - new pics from motorsport ranch
