  1. Darn, you wouldnt think they would drill two holes in your car to put there name tag on it would ya!? You would have thought that they would have covered the holes when it was painted unless they had an emblem to go back on on. Unfortunately the car was painted 12 years ago and didnt come with all the emblems... My Z is a 5 speed..but a 72
  2. I have looked at a ton of pictures but have not seen any emblems on the left hand side of the rear hatch. My car has a 12 year old paint job but the emblems were never put back on (and some are missing). The holes look identical to the right side. I attached a picture maybe someone knows..? Thanks
  3. Yep, should look closer (or wait till I clean them up better!) next time, they are there. Thanks!
  4. I think I still have the factory U-Joints in my shafts because there are no circle clips to remove, in fact several of the u-joints are flush with the axle casing. Were the original U-joints pressed in? Or am I going to have to take a 50-50 shot at pressing them out the right way? The end caps have "Toyo" logo on them, if that helps.
  5. Thats reassuring. I am keeping it stock. I bought the KYB struts because they were close to stock and am only going to ride it on the street. Not sure about the wheels yet. I have both stock rims and another set that came off a 280 "I think". I'd really prefer the slotted dish cause thats how I remember them! Thanks!
  6. Ok I am new to the Z and it's suspension. My car is completely stripped of it's suspension and I have all new urethane bushings waiting to go into it. Should I stop and re-order rubber? Am I in for that much of a rough ride compared to rubber? I have read about all the posts in about all the forums on the web and the majority of the Z's all put in Urethane and I assumed it was the way to go...:paranoid: Also my Z is in great shape, bit's of surface rust and 51k miles
  7. Yep Housing is cheap compared to the rest of the country, but has risen alot in the last few years. I moved from Virginia back in 89 and bought a mansion for the same price as the measly house I had there, plus a great yard. But you gota get used to 4 seasons! So I restore snomobiles also!!
  8. Hey "Tooch" You wont be I'm working on getting mine ready! Steve from Papillion
  9. Gotcha,, I should have looked closer at the new urethane, it has a lip that will set right into the "loop" on the end of the swaybar. Thanks
  10. Is the swaybar stud supposed to be much smaller that the hole in the end of the swaybar? I attached a picture, it looks like it must be missing something to keep it from moving around.
  11. Id be interested in sendin my dash
  12. Looking at the timing marks on the flyweel pully is the first one 0 degrees? then does it go in 5 degree increments? accrding to my book it does but mine is way off, BUT I just bought my 72 and it runs really bad.
  13. Got my first 72 240Z in great condition, 51k miles! but the guy sold the bumpers before I bought it. I looked around the web and have not seen any for sale,,,ugh. But have seen the fiberglass bumpers but I want it original. Anyone know where I can get them? I also know for sure I will need new struts and wheels it's a great fixer up and I can't wait to dig in this weekend! Thanks for the replies. bumpers are more that I thought and hard to get..
