    27mm on my '72.
  2. I saw Too Intense's Ebay auction for these lenses & the pic at the top of the page. The two pictures look the same to me. If the above pic came from klearz, I think it'd be safe to assume TIR is getting them from the same place & has their markup. Who knows, I'm just glad I got my NOS taillights a couple of years ago for $300. In fact, TIR is where I got them from. lww, I take it you had a bad experience with Too Intense Rest?

Yeah, I got some stuff done by azariar. I had my combo switch worked on by him. It cost $200 to disassemble, clean, lube, & re-assemble. He ain't cheap, but the guy definitely knows his stuff.

UK Fuel Costs 75% Tax? According to this guy five years ago, you folks in the UK pay 75% of your $6.96/gal in taxes. Tony & Parliament needs to give you guys a discount. I'd hate to see that happen here. I don't think the US wouldn't make it.

I just heard on the news five minutes ago that Congress is considering an increase in the Federal gas tax. Their first idea is to increase the $0.18 per gallon tax according to inflation. The second idea would force drivers to pay a tax according to their miles driven (a user tax if you will). The third, believe it or not, is that they may look into proposing an additional tax to hybrid vehicles because they use less fuel. I said the same thing, but I'm only repeating what the news report said. Republican or Democrat, it doesn't matter. These people see no end to how much of our money they can confiscate. I wouldn't expect something like this to come to the forefront until AFTER the '06 elections. Oh yeah, gas ranges from 1.949 to 2.049 on my side of Atlanta.

My opinion is that the car's 30 or so years old. Over the years there may have been several different owners. There have been purses placed on the roof, grocery bags, boxes, probably people leaning on the roof with their elbow & upper arm. It probably been sat on too! Of course, I could go on & on. They're low cars anyway so it's easy to put something on top when you go to unlock the door, especially when there's no sentimental value in the vehicle, they just thought it was their car. When someone got it repainted, there were indentations throughout several areas of the roof. In order to get it even, they out body filler on it. Just my opinion.

The more narrow knob is for a 260z & the wider one is for a 240z. '70 & early '71 knobs have the same shape as the wide one but connect differently to the cable. I don't know how as I've never really worked on an early 240. Isn't the connection to the cable the same on those knobs you have pictured? Maybe that's how you got it in your car. Previous owner broke the original, the other one worked, so in it went. Of course, I'm referring to the US market.

I'm pretty sure the one on the left is for a 260z & the one on the right is for a late '71-'73 240z. Is that from a scanner?
