Wanted 16-17" rims for 280zx
probably about 20mm there are lots of 4x114.3 wheels (off silvia/180sx/r32 etc) but they are all around 35-40 offset. you might find they will fit on the back, but not on the front because they will hit the struts. they might look a little crap on the back to because they will sit too far in...

Wanted 16-17" rims for 280zx
yeah but they are still only 14's... unfortunately, not too much in the way of stuff, even 15's are hard to get, expect in hotwires. check the classifieds at www.ozdat.com or new, performance wheels can do you a number of styles, but around $300 per wheel for 16x7 not much in 16 or 17 comes up very often. basic problem is old datsuns are 10mm offset, whilst most other 4 x 4.5" PCD's are 35mm offset (ie silvia, 180sx, etc.)

Oh My...
this is the old AIR280 advertised for sale in September 2001. obviously not the same car - this one isnt actaully too bad! the other silly thing: what an immaculate stock auto 280zx worth - absolute maximum $4000? (maybe $5000 for a manual) he is asking an $11,000 premium for $8k of bodywork (a spray job and a body kit) and S2000 seats. sounds very much like he thinks the car is worth as much as he has spent on it!

Oh My...
NSW rego AIR280.... let me check an old unique cars mag I have - I swear there is modded 280zx in there with those plates. totally different kit and colour though but yes, it look sh.thouse!

Anyone in Oz used Victoria British?
just got some stuff off them yesterday! cost me $USD23 p & h. $11 postage and the rest handling. wtf are the handling that reuqires so much effort? (box was about 30cm x 20cm x 10cm) Took at about 4 weeks for the goods to come airmail as well, which was very very average. I ordered over the net and then they called me a couple of days later with the postage options. they are ok, if you can wait, but that postage is a killer,e specially on small parts. Also, i'd be super wary of the territorial differences between the cars, although that mainly applies to the 260Z

Front Air Dams?
I have one similiar to the top one on that MSA list. It available in Oz, but I got it used so im not sure where you can get it from. Replaces the existing factory valance. I use to have one similar to the fibresports one but without the big block to mount the number plate on. I got that one from Z Car something in Glen Iris, Melbourne for around $200 although it was second hand never painted. The main problem with that was that it hung fairly low and tended to scrape on driveways if you werent careful. also didnt clear gutters, this with stock suspension. The one I have now clears most gutters hand doesnt scrape much at all. ^ my old one. smashed it a few too many times on gutters and driveways and a pile of leaves on the side of the road

Power Output
I have a 260Z 2+2 with a 280zx efi motor (stock but reco'd), 280zx 5sp, 3.7 diff, 2 1/4 exhaust and it was recently dyno'd at 82kw at the wheels. it is almost exactly the same in terms of acceleration against stockish VT commodores/EL Falcons. a tad quicker of the line, but the larger 6's have the torque at higher speed. The 280zx 5sp has lower ratio's (1st is 3.3 vs 2.9 on the 260Z box) which gives better acceleration off the line, but runs out of breath a bit earlier. Cant say I have any issues shifting from 1st to 2nd though... 2nd and 3rd is where is pulls well i get about 18l/100km - im guessing thats about the same as most of you guys?
