Check your dist cap for cracks and let us know if it is OK! Also do you have any mods on the car such as a bigger throttle body any thing like that?

Yeah I did business with urgelis before also, not as helpful as he was for you. Got the head and the cam had fallen out and ruined the cam towers and he had different size or totally differnt lash pads, the coolant passages were ruined because someone forgot to reopen them after adding more aluminum to shave it. Not to mention the valves were cut down 1/16th of an inch on the top and the springs were too high and binding and the valves did not seal:sick: And the head was shaved too much for factory spec! Hes a great seller!

You know what, I was playing with the throttle valve switch the other day and did not know how to set it because it is from an 84 300zx. While turning it it would make the idle shift but now it does nothing. Looks like that is what I am going for next. Thanks sblake now I just need to find out my electrical problem for the #6 injector. Thanks guys for the help On these throtttle valve switches (300zx), can you test them the same per FSM for the 280z valve switch?

I have a 60mm throttle body from a 240sx, it doesnt have the BCDD. It just started doing it about three days ago. I've checked all wiring checked EGR valve for operation, looked for vacuum leaks. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?

I heard of different way to flush your cooling system. Use distilled water and a bottle of Jet Dry and run it for a couple of days and drain it and refill. Has anyone tried this and does it work? I heard about this on hybridZ from jtmortenson.

While driving and taking the car out of gear the tach or idle will drop to around 500rpm and go back up to normal. also when I shut the car off and start it right back up it will do that same thing about five times and then idle fine until I give it gas and let go it will drop to 500 rpm's. Help!

Did you get seller protection, if not you are screwed! I am really sorry to say. The guy I sold to had really bad feedback also and that just didnt help in trying to dispute my issue. I guess he was selling bad jewelry to buyers!

Well spoken, but your post before that, didnt really say that you thought Canadians were dirt bags! The gameboy that I sent didnt reach the guy until 13 days later and him and I paid 100.00 and sent it overnight, its because of customs that it takes so long. But in this guys case he just didnt pay. The guy I sent my item too paid but got his money back after receiving it. I have a 100 percent positive feedback until I sold to someone international!

Did you buy seller protection. That is the only way you will win a dispute. I got reemed by a guy or gal in Canada also about a year ago but it was for a gameboy, the guy bought it and wanted it overnight for 100.00 shipping. But he paid then told ebay that he did not get the item or the item was not as described and got his money back after I had used it for bills and stuff. Then my bank account went overdrawn about 200.00, paypal had took it out of my bank:sick: and when I tried to dispute for about 4 months they finally asked me if I got seller protection for the item sold:mad: :mad: :mad:

I have a low pulse in the #6 injector, I bought a new injector for it but still the same low ticking sound coming from it. Could this be the dropping resistor or the ECU? Thanks Also the #5 has a low tick too. From what I understand is that both #5 and #6 run off of the same resistor, is this true and how can I test the resistors?

Hello again, just wondering what color fusible links go where. I have two browns and two blacks. I am going to order all new but need to know what to get? I got some fusible links from ebay about a year ago,:paranoid: but they seem to not be the right ones when I looked at them, it seems like they just have 12gauge wire in them but they say fusible links on the insulation, I was very sceptical about them so I didnt use them! Any opinions please let me know. Thanks I probably should have put this in electrical, but I am getting my tags for my car tomorrow and want to get it back to my house without something blowing up on me!

According to the wiring diagram that I have, it goes to the combination switch, does that mean it is the light switch. It says the #2 switch and it looks like it is hooked up to another red wire that goes to the fuse box. I was going to attach the wiring diagram that I have but it says it is an invalid file!

Howdy, does anyone know what the bottom right fusible link is for on a 78. It is the one when your are facing the fusible links on the passenger side the one on the bottom right. On mine it is burning out and smells blown and the insulation is coming off but it still has a connection to both sides. Also I bought a MSD 8200 chrome coil, could that be it and has anyone ever used one on a 78 and had no problems? Thanks Also, my tach starting fluctuating after I put the MSD in!
