  1. Two guys wanted it. It was won on a coin toss. Batmobile sold for 4.2 million in a coin toss flip - YouTube Chuck
  2. How do you get notified of the closeouts? I haven't been able to figure that out. Chuck
  3. This is from memory. Studs for every exhaust hole. Bolts for intake only. Chuck
  4. No. I'm thinking that in this case the lower camber bushings added so much negative camber that the upper mount was moved to add back some positive camber. Mine are probably slotted for negative camber. FYI I bought the car this way. Chuck
  5. Maybe the car has lower camber bushings, too? This is how my race car was set up. It's worked fine for many years. It's won races and championships with that setup. That said, I'm putting the car on the rotisserie and installing adjustable camber plates. Chuck
  6. Great video! My brother was telling me about that on Christmas. Here are a couple pictures of a track I just built in the shape of the Summit Point track where I race my real Zs. Chuck
  7. I have a Battery Tender with two outlets that I use on my 1970 Road Runner and 2005 Lotus Elise. The RR is rarely driven and the tiny Braille (sp?) battery in the Lotus lasts 5 days without use/charge. Chuck
  8. Typically, any car owned by a celebrity is worth more. Yes, Steve Prefontaine is world famous. There have been movies made about him. The ad says, "Mr. Prefontaine was arguably the greatest American Olympic distance runner in history. He was unstoppable on the track; and at the height of his career, he held every American track and field record from the 2,000 to the 10,000 meters. Google his name “Steve Prefontaine” for more information." The car looks pretty clean to me. Chuck
  9. It's probably worth the cost of shipping to get a rust-free door from the southwest. You could buy a couple patch panels and splice them together. Chuck
  10. so what's it like for you having two z's? Two??? Nobody has just two! . I have 6. 2 are projects, 1 is for racing only, 1 is a race car but I also have tags for it and the other 2 are street legal turbocharged 260Z and 240Z. I like having the option of driving different cars whenever I like. Since they're old the insurance isn't much. There will be work and cost up front to make them reliable cars. They're simple to work on and I have garages full of parts so owning more than one isn't a problem for me. why or what made you keep/sell your other z? I sold some because they were parts cars or I ran out of space and wanted to buy a different car. I've kept my current ones because they're so much fun! That said, I might sell my 74 260Z turbo next year to regain some garage space. or if you currently have one, what if you had another? N/A who is your daddy and what does he do? Charles Buczeskie - retired. ;-) Chuck
  11. I'm going to assume that your outer rockers are in good shape. You'll want to weld in some braces across the door openings first. I'd cut out one floor at a time to gain access to the inner rockers. Repair the inner rocker and then install a floor. Repeat for the other side. Chuck
  12. Maybe pull the shifter out, put it in a vice, apply heat to the shifter and try to twist the knob off? Chuck
  13. It looked right at home next to a Pacer? Prices just dropped in half. Chuck
  14. It's SEM Color Coat in NAPA Red 15273. Chuck
  15. NAPA might have it. I think my local paint supplier carries it. Chuck
  16. I have a bunch of spare collars of different lengths if you want to try one. Chuck
  17. My guess is that you have the wrong length collar. I can't think of anything else that it could be. Chuck
  18. I think I used SEM vinyl dye for my interior and it was an exact match. The shock towers had faded to nearly white! Chuck
  19. Another trick to make it a little quieter is to turn the tip toward the ground. I think Mopar had to do that around 1970 for cars sold in California. Chuck
  20. That sounds right. I tightened it by hand till it felt tight. I don't like using a torque wrench on those low settings ever since I snapped off a pressure plate bolt. If you're concerned about it coming loose just put a little blue loctite on the threads. Chuck
  21. It sounds like a 3.54 is the way to go. Chuck
  22. It sounds like a 3.54 is the way to go. Chuck
  23. I did this a few weeks ago. I removed the bolt, popped out the flange, removed the seal and then reversed the procedure. Chuck
  24. I'd be interested but they sure are expensive. How long have you been using them? Do you think they were worth the cost? How long should they last? Chuck
