In need of a front RH marker light
Looooong weekend at the track. I got everything boxed up and ready to be picked up by the USPS tomorrow. You should see it in 2-3 days. I included the little clip nuts for the side marker. Chuck

Is this O.K ?
I'd trim it flush and put a sealer of that seam before you install the gasket. I did that this morning on an engine. Chuck

Wiring Harness Pull Issue
I did this last week on my 75 280Z. I was able to pry out the connectors. Take pictures and/or label where they go. Chuck

I'm headed down to Summmit Point now. I'm starting 5th in qualifying. I'm anxious to see how the car runs after all the "upgrades" since the last race. Chuck

In need of a front RH marker light
It's road racing. Summit Point is a 2 mile road course. Mods: sticky DOT tires, 15x7 wheels, racing pads/shoes, coilovers, bigger sway bars, adj shocks, front strut bar, cage, 40 over pistons, aluminum radiator, headers, 3" exhaust, any EFI system (but all air must pass through the stock AFM), minimal head/intake porting, LSD rear, any gauges, no interior, race seat, 5-point harness, HANS, etc. There are LOTS of rules! I tried to make it as light as possible. Minimum weight for the 280Z is 2505lbs. I'm probably over 2600lbs. Chuck

In need of a front RH marker light
I'm racing a 1975 280Z in the SCCA ITS road racing class at Summit Point, WV. I've made a lot of changes since the last race. I'm hoping to move up to where I'm behind the really fast guys but ahead of the second group. I was at the back of the second group in our first race this year. I don't have any extra 15" or 16" wheels. I need to buy spare set of 15x7s for the race car. I don't like the look of the side kit. And I think it would hold in moisture and make the rockers rust out. Chuck

How to remove 280z bumper shock mounts.
You have to tilt the part toward the front of the car down and then the oval flange will fit through. It might take some wiggling but it'll work. I did this recently on my 1975 280Z. Chuck

In need of a front RH marker light
I got the car ready and everything loaded tonight. I'll see if I can get things boxed up tomorrow night after I get back from the track. I have the MSA kit on my 260Z turbo but I didin't install the side kit. I don't have any side mirrors but I do have some Shelby 500 14x7 slots. Chuck

I should have some of those clips. I just have to remember to grab them! Chuck

In need of a front RH marker light
PayPal is good. cbuczesk@comcast.net I'd simply replace the whole ignition assembly and install what I send to you. There's 4 screws, a 6-pin plug on the back and two wires with bullet connectors. I might be able to ship it tonight or tomorrow. It depends on how much time the race car takes. Chuck

Close 101 Cars You Must Drive
An Aries and a Pacer??? I have a 1970 Road Runner 440+6, 4-speed. It's the same as a Superbird but without the nose and wing. My mom has a 1960 MGA. It's not fast but it's fun. I've owned several 2002s. They're a blast to drive! I still have a tii and a factory 2002 turbo. I'm surprised that the Lotus Elise/Exige isn't on the list. No Viper??? Chuck

First drive after 8 years -- Need input
Braking - I'd remove the brake valves/splitters, disassemble them and clean them up. One is located below the master cylinder and has a wire on it. That's what's causing your brake light to come on. The proportioning valve is located on the firewall on the drivers side. I'm assuming that you installed new calipers and wheel cylinders. Did you bleed the brakes until fresh fluid came out? Bleed in the following order: LR, RR, RF, LF. The LR is actually the farthest from the MC. Timing - Maybe the rubber in the crank damper is coming apart and allowed the outer part to slip? Find TDC on the engine and make sure that the timing mark is pointing to 0. Chuck

It sounds like you have the electrical part on the back. It's on mine but you can't see it in the pic because it's on the back. You need the key and lock for the ignition. Chuck

I have the front side marker assembly and ignition switch with key. I'll post pictures tonight after I'm done getting the race car ready for this weekend. How's $65 shipped for both? Chuck

MARRS #6 at Summit Point June 9 & 10
MARRS is at Summit Point this weekend. Our ITS class is in Group 7. 5 Z-cars and a 240SX are signed up so far for ITS. If anyone here is coming to the race stop by and say hi. Look for the group of Z cars parked just before the entrance of pit road. http://www.dlbracing.com/Clubs/clubdrivers.aspx?EventID=5004&LMID=72 http://wdcr-scca.org/ClubRacing/MARRS/tabid/71/Default.aspx Chuck 1975 Datsun 280Z #0

In need of a front RH marker light
You have the lense, chrome trim and rubber, right? You need just the metal housing with socket, wires and plug? If you can show me a picture of the plug(s) from the engine harness I'll see if I have what you need. I have a several but need to make sure that I have one with the correct connector(s). Chuck

OK, I NEED HELP 76 280z Does not start!
We need dome history. When did the car last run? What happened since then? It sounds like you're not getting fuel. Or you're getting too much fuel. Did you pull the plugs? Were they dry? Did they smell like gas? Were they fouled? Chuck
