In addition to being lighter the aluminum drums should cool quicker. I drilled 40 or so holes in each backing plate and used a duct at the bottom of the floors to direct air into the backing plate. Chuck

From memory... Loosen the locking nut that you normally loosen during a valve adjustment and unscrew it to the top. Turn the ball-headed bolt all the way down. Use a pry bar or big screw driver to compress the valve spring enough for you to slip the rocker back in place. Pry against the rough cam surface and be very careful of the polished lobes. And watch your fingers! Somebody should proof read this before you try it. Chuck
  3. Mine look like mgood's. They came with the hatch. I'll be selling the louvers when I get around to removing them. Chuck
  4. Only thing I see missing is carpet. I think one picture is sideways and another is upsidedown so that makes it harder to figure out. Oh, and rust. That's missing. ;-) Chuck

I like the 2nd pic but I'm a little biased since that's my car. The car is 350Z Daytona Blue. Paint your car whatever color and style you like. Chuck

3 new Konig center caps will be on their way tomorrow! Chuck

I have a set of 4 that are new in the wrapper. I found a place online (http://www.centercapsdirect.com/no-part-number-275-in-diameter-L01701-and-K04901-Konig-Wheels-Center-Caps_p_1146.html) that sells them for $30 each. Ouch! How's $25 for the pair shipped? I can ship them tomorrow and my PayPal address is below if that sounds good to you. Chuck cbuczesk@comcast.net

I might have a couple new ones. Post a pic so I can compare yours to mine. Chuck
  14. It's official. Peter Brock will be at the Carlisle Import and Kit Nationals this year! I'm looking forward to meeting him and getting some of my BRE stuff autographed. Ed's still looking to get a real BRE car to Carlisle. Nissan has one in TN and Carl has one in FL. I expect Ed to contact both of them shortly. Does anyone know of any cars closer to PA? Chuck
  15. Here's a finished picture of the Z. Chuck
  16. My friend took this picture and said I could post it. Someone carved a 370Z out of ice this year. I'll be there tonight and I'll try to get a better picture. Bill's going there today to shoot too. He said that maybe next year they could do my 240Z race car in ice. That would be cool! Chuck
  17. I was talking about the outer seal. The inner can be tricky but I've had a lot more trouble with the outer seal. I get to try that again in a couple months when I finish my new race car. If I get a chance I'll measure the outer seals that I have tonight. Chuck
  18. I've installed a few of the Precision kits and never had that problem. The only problem I had was getting the screw holes to line up after installing new gaskets. Chuck
  19. Moog is good. Rockauto and NAPA might carry Moog. I think I used Brute Force on a set for my race car and they're still holding up. Chuck
  20. Thanks, Steve! I thought Carl owned that and it was a real BRE Z. It would be great to have Carl and his car at Carlisle. :-) Chuck
  21. My bro sent me some pics of Peter's Daytona kit. Very nice car! The Carlisle Import/Kit show gets about 25000 people in attendance and about 1500 show cars. Several of the local Z car clubs in conjunction with Carlisle Events has made this show home to the East Coast Z Nationals. Nobody knows of any BRE cars on the East coast??? Chuck
  22. Good info, SteveJ! There are always some Daytona Coupe kits at Carlisle so he should be of interest to those owners as well. Pete was at the Summit Point, WV track last year but it was the same weekend as the Carlisle Import/Kit show so I didn't get down to meet him. :-( I have a couple of those Mitty posters too. One is framed and hanging in my hall. I hope Pete comes to Carlisle so I can get it autographed! Chuck
  23. My brother is the event manager for this show (May 17-19, 2013) and is considering having Peter Brock come as a special guest at the show. How many people here would come to meet him? Do you think he would draw a crowd? I would love to meet him but Ed wants to know what everyone else thinks. Does anyone know of any BRE cars near PA? Any comments are appreciated. 24. I'm not sure but I don't think that there should be so much slop between the lock sand the lever. As you turn the key the lever should move with it. Yours moves together and then the key turns without turning the lever. At least that how the video apprears to me. If I get a chance I'll check out one fo mine today. Chuck

I thought that there were only 5 made? The buyer paid $4.6M if you add in the 10% commission. :-o Chuck
