  1. That's interesting. Most of my stuff is from 240Zs. Maybe the L28s were pressed on? I'll have to look at my spares. The two that were damaged, the replacement and my spare in the trailer are all pinned. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  2. All of the oils pump/distributor shafts that I've seen have the gear secured with a roll pin. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  3. Why would he re-chrome them if they are NOS? Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  4. IDK. It was for sale recently but didn't sell. It's just an empty shell so I think that's turning off a lot of buyers. Chuck
  5. I think it's off a tooth. But as long as you know it and can set the timing then why bother? My race car is off a tooth but the timing is where I want it and I'm tired of making oily messes to remove the oil pump. My OCD is losing this battle...for now. 6. It looks like the shaft might be off a tooth. It should rotated clockwise a few degrees. Are the cam gear and damper showing TDC? 29 degrees total advance is fine. The staple looks like a wire from a wire wheel. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  7. It's the same guy/company according to Wiki. I have Campy wheels on my Pantera but never had any Campy parts on my bikes. I was always a Shimano guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campagnolo Chuck
  8. Here are a couple pics of a worn gear compared to a good used gear. The wear took less than two hours to happen on the track. I was doing about 100mph and the car suddenly shut off. It had jumped at least a couple teeth. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  9. I agree with Zed Head. That's the first thing I'd check. You can rev the engine and see what your max timing is. Did you also happen to put on a Melling high volume, high pressure oil pump? I did that on my race car this summer and it very quickly wore out the crank gear and distributor/oil pump shaft gear causing it to skip some teeth. Happened twice before I found the cause. Chuck
  10. 9/70 would have been sold as a 1971. Chuck
  11. I emailed Steve. He said that if I can remove it from the handle then he will reproduce it. Should I proceed? Chuck
  12. If the hold down is installed high side up then does the T handle sit high enough to provide some support under the Masonite spare tire cover? Chuck
  13. I'll message Steve. We've worked together before. I sent him the AM radio faceplates to reproduce. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  14. Here's a couple pics. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  15. I probably have one. I need to find my bin of tire hold downs. Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  16. I have several with the rubber ring if Steve wants to reproduce it. Chuck Sent from my Moto G Play using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  17. Z-Gad lives just a few miles from my new house. That's a fast Z! Chuck
  18. Where is your for sale ad? I can't seem to find it. If you get the engine, trans, hood, etc. back will they be given or sold to the buyer of the car? A friend of mine in Myrtle Beach might be contacting you. Chuck
  19. It'll be interesting to see in the next few years if it affects the value. It makes the car more rare, but does it make it more desirable? In the Mopar world it seems like half the cars had vinyl tops. Value doesn't change. The only bad part about it was that it caused the roof and windshield frame to rust out. Chuck
  20. The main studs should work. I can't see why they wouldn't. Chuck
  21. IIRC it's on the Nisan parts microfiche. I'm sure someone on here knows more. I had a parts car years ago with a vinyl top. I kept the vinyl top trim pieces. I think it had the vented hatch. It was silver with a black top. Chuck
  22. Do you have any Mopars in there? Chuck
  23. It slides in the backing plate. Clean the backing plate well and use some brake grease where there's metal to metal contact. Chuck
  24. I believe that they're molded in a solid blue. All of my spare interior panels are at the other garage. I have a stack of door panels at home but I think they're all black. Hmmm...I'll look around tonight when I get back from the track. Chuck
