I have to say I like the look of the front spoiler. Like the red 240 that used to be on the top of the page. Thing is...I dont know which type is best to use. Fiberglass or Urethane? Any advice? Not crazy about the G-nose but it does look good. Just not on my car!

Yea, I have a 78! I honestly havent checked the gas mileage. It definitely gets better than my Toyota 4x4! The last time I did check it was at 25 mpg. Sorry I am not much help there. I will check it the next time! So what do you think you are going to do?

I recently upgraded (?) my rear diff to a 3.9 and I have to say I really did NOT see any difference. Maybe the smallest amount but not enough to go WOW! If you are looking for that you will probably be happier with the 4:11. I also have the 4 speed so that could make a difference but I wouldnt think so. Atleast not in the seat of the pants feeling. Im just happy to have a rear end that doesnt whine and make noise! (Dont say it!)

OK...another question for you guys. Which air dam is the best? More specifically, urethane or fiberglass. I like the ones that MSA offers (minus that new one) but dont know for sure which type to get. I know noone personally who even has a z car let alone an air dam. Thanks for any advice.

I am wondering what a fair price is to rechrome and straighten a couple of bumpers. I have gotten a price of 280 for both bumpers. The front one is banged up pretty good but the rear is in good shape. Anyone else have theirs rechromed? Any advice? I also wnat to have the holes filled. Anyone done this? Thanks

Has it been that long since Nissan did the factory restores??! Man time is going by too quickly! That car is nice but not as nice as I'd expect. Many of the cars you guys here have woud put that thing to shame. IMO. .02

280Z Of course!!! But I am biased Im sure someone will say the 240 is better. I personally think both have their good and bads.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I appreciate it. I realize I am at the top of the range. I am not trying to make my money back. I have restored several cars and realize you dont usually get your money back. I have seen many 280Z's that dont even compare to mine for not much less money. I'm thinkin maybe I should just keep it. Having money is overrated anyway!

Thanks for the coments guys. I realized there really is no answer but I wondered what everyones opinion on what they would pay for a car in some given condition. My car is very clean. The dash had no cracks in it till I brought it to AZ. Now there are 3 or 4 cracks in the center area. Engine is rebuilt w/ about 15k. All suspension is new w/poly bushings. Carpet is new. Toyota front brakes. The only rust spots on the car are under the gas door(about 2-3 spots smaller than a dime) and one spot in the trunk area where they always seem to get it which was "treated" before I painted it but it still looks like arse. I always wanted to replace that area but was going to have to wait for the future. It is not continuing to rust but it definitely shows the damage. Paint is original color. There is minimal surface rust under the battery. Lots o new engine parts(fuel injectors, sensors, radiator, etc) I think my car is pretty damn nice really. It is 20+ years old and has the squeaks to prove it but over all it is very nice. Ugly wheels too! Always wanted to get panasports but...you know...$$ I may do like Mike said and get an appraisal...though that is not a guarantee fair price either. I guess it boils down to who is looking for what.

for my Z when I sell it? I need some honest opinions...not "45 dollars heehee"! What is a fair price for these cars? I checked NADA.com and it says high retail is over $8K! Is this for real? My car is a nice Z. Nicer than most Z's I see in my town. I was thinking around 5000 would be a good place to start. I have more than that in it but I know you dont always get your money back on cars like these...so I am not trying. I got too many toys and not enough money! Besides, school is too demanding on the finances and I dont want to end up with 50K of loans to go along with my piece of paper! Any advice is appreciated. Aaron

Geez! I didnt realize I would have my intentions or intellect attacked here! All I am saying is the harness will work for what it is and it is not painless but it is not difficult either. I had never wired a car and I dont care much for wiring but it was pretty damned easy for me. OK...back to your regularly scheduled argument...

What you guys are forgetting is that the painless wiring will NOT replace all of your existing wiring. It mainly replaces the power to the sub-systems or accesories. The wiring for the wiper switch is retained but the power from the fuse box to the wiper motor is replaced by painless. There are lots of sub harnesses that you would not have to re-build unless they are screwed up. I forunately do not need a new harness but I sure as heck would go painless before I spent thousands on a nissan harness...unless of course I was restoring a one of a kind car. To each their own I guess!

I think the painless wiring is a good choice if your existing wiring is a mess. True...you will have to keep the Z specific wiring and figure out how to incorporate it but that should not be too difficult if you take the time and study the wiring schematic. I used a painless wiring harness in my Camaro and I love it. It will definitely make things work when they are suppose to! Best of luck
