  2. I broke two in a row and when I was replacing it myself instead of having a mechanic do it I found my transverse link bushings were completely shot, replaced them with urethane as well and no trouble since. Thats been several years now. My2c H Houghton
  3. It runs across from the passengers side, mine was cut so I had to unwrap the harness back a bit to find it and run another one. Best, H Houghton
  4. I had an xr700 and a stock point set up and it worked fine,I had to settle my wiring issues here because Crane customer service was hopless, they blamed the tach, TCZC solved the problem. I don't know about a '72 however mines a 9/70 but I bet the answers here somewhere.

  20. Is the hole in that thrust bearing large enough that the lug nut nose fits inside it?
  21. I was thinking of using SAE threads for everything but the tapped hole for the spindle pin itself, figured parts would be easier to find that way.
  22. Thank you, exactly what I needed. Being of the school of thought that thinks it can sense money in my wallet if I put it on the console, I want to get everthing ready before I start so it won't know I'm sneaking up on it til its to late to resist.
  23. I am about to enter spindle pin hell so before I start am going to build a puller. Does anyone know the thread size and pitch of the pin itself so I can tap the puller? I've gotten all the other specs I need but this one. Best, H Houghton
  24. I have a 4 speed "B" box with shifter and a steering column for a later Z not series one, will send pic if needed.
