  1. Found the little weasels in the parts CD, ordered last night on-line from Courtesy, we'll see if they actually have them. Part#11053-73400 if your interested.
  2. Thanks, Thats exactly what I needed. Best, H Houghton
  3. After pulling the head for top end work I found only one head gasket ferrule,(the little hollow tube doo-hickey that helps orient and hold the gasket in place while you install the head). My question is, how many are there supposed to be? 2/3/4? or only one. And if there are more than one where are they placed. the one that is in mine is in the front across from the fuel pump mount, and where in the world would I find some more if necessary? Thanks, H Houghton

  9. Arne, How did you remove the spot welds? Drill or grinder and how did you manage not to perforate the drip channel? I'm going to start removing mine. Best H Houghton
  10. Arne, I just found this thread and the earlier one when you were considering your options, and found inspiration and hope for my project. After uncovering the mess in my roof last night I was wondering how in the world I was going to deal with it. But with all the research and input (esp. Carl Beck) I can see my way out. I really appreciate all the pics and input, once again this site saved my bacon.
  11. Another exploration gone mad! The bondo just kept going and going and going. Small wonder the paint bubbled! And the pictures just don't do it justice. Yikes
  12. I just bought a transmission there, hadn't thought of him.
  13. If you Google Kroil and hit there web page that way a couple of weeks ago they we're doing a "google" sale with some pretty good deals
  14. Have been searching for a good stock down pipe without success, does anyone know where they are hiding? Or do I need to look into having one fabbed? Finding a real muffler shop in my area will be a real trick. I have an old one for a pattern.
  15. I'm with Overdrivex, if you lke it get it and let anyone else whistle. If you decide not to buy it,let me know,my son is looking for a car and I could slide up from Santa Fe.
  16. I was hoping because I had just purchased a set of early rubber shifter bushings and they had them, so I thought maybe they had these as well.
  17. Terry, I tried Courtesy Nissan and their web site listed it as in stock, but in talking with them directley it was NLA. The guy said that individual dealerships might still have one. Mike, my 9/70 has two seperate openings, what is your production date?
  18. The speedometer grommet is part# 24253-E4100. You can still get them at your Nissan dealer, I checked this morning.
  19. Do you mean which holes in the firewall they go into, or which way they are facing? They always face tapered end into the engine bay.

  22. Yes,should be quite simple. Forgot to ask, what year? I'm talking about early years.
  23. Passenger side, below dash against the heater core housing, just follow the inlet hose to it. Sounds like your cable is bent broken or missing,it should be fairly easy to turn off by hand if the problem is not the valve itself. Hope this helps
  24. MSA has both of those, I'm looking for the ones for the speedometer cable and hood release cables.
  25. I realized my mistake as I was looking at the CD last night, I am now tracking the early '71 numbers. Thanks, H Houghton
