well today the saga finally ended, they repaired the damage to the air dam and reapaired the rad support that they had cut. the owner gave me a full refund, removed his parts, and towed my car back to my home. all in all i figure this was the best outcome.

it probably is, i havent used the unit but know of a few that have. some have had luck with buying tighter springs then that which come with it. others said after purchasing and following installation to the letter have been left with a feeling of a phantom grip if you catch my drift. in other words no luck. if you really want an lsd, save your pennies and get a real unit from the likes of qaife. just my .02

well the car is back at the shop today. i hope all goes well. im sitting on pins and needles. whats good is the woman got involved and totally cut loose on the owner. with her help, it seems things are getting done, at least hopefully. on another note as well i think that the reason for him wanting to help so much just as of late is that the BBB just sent me an email saying that they have logged the complaint and contacted the owner of the business. i didnt think that theyre action would be so swift but apparently it is. that could be why hes become a nice guy now all of a sudden. we will see. i wish i would have looked at some of the replies, because i would have done the sealer on the head and stuff, because i didnt even think about that. wish me luck
  7. you need to give me your car:love:
  8. make sure the car is in time, check all hoses for vacumn leaks, ALL OF THEM, and once you have done them all do it again, trust me. if you dont have a FSM at least get a haynes and do some diagnostics which are easily performed with a multi meter. this tool is one of your best friends.
  9. we have argued, he says hes going to make everything right but that is to be seen. honestly i would rather have my money back and do it myself. so the car will be down a little time truthfully that doesnt matter to me anymore after this. from what he's said, he will repair the rad support, use real silicone hoses, and hopefully put the bov where i wanted it to begin with and use mandrel bends as i specified in the beginning. i am still kind of leary of taking it back to him just the same. i would rather do it myself and have him pay another shop of my choosing to do the repairs. we will see what happens tommorow
  10. its just the shyte job that they did with the piping and the hoses. it just looks like something someone put together in theyre back yard. it doesnt look like it came from a professional shop.
  11. shot from the other side of the rad support that they hacked into if you notice on the first attachment, that shows the dent in the ic, you will see that there is a 35 degree angle to the outlet pipe of the ic. why in the hell would you go backwards to the other side of the engine, especially since you cant go that way anyhow.
  12. radiator hose for couplers i really like this one
  13. gouging in air dam and look how the ic is mounted crooked. im just being pissy here
  14. hacked out rad support
  15. here they are! dent in intercooler
  16. ill try again,
  17. and the damage to my car if any one cares to look, be forewarned its not pretty. Unproffesional

though you could buy a haynes manual for a cheap price, you cant get all the detailed information and circuit tests schematics and the like that you can from the FSM its a must have for any Z man or woman i didnt know about the other book though, thanks for the tip alan
  21. i dont have a house that looks like anythig these guys have alan was right you guys do live like lords
  22. its a sony explode cd player, works well, replaced the stock speakers with polk audio units i bought on ebay sounds great for what it is
  23. i should have went and done it myself, but i let many people tell me they do good work. then again there cars have had everything done to them there at this place. built from the ground up ive seen some really nice and really expensive cars going in and out of there so i figured all was good. i guess its the money you spend there, is the type of service you get.
  24. i explained exactly what i wanted him to do. i made it clear i want MANDREL bends, thats what i dont under stand i could have gotten press bent from a freind for much much less. then the cheap what seems to be radiator hose, thats the real kicker. i told them this side is already cut out and ready for the pipes to go threw. i showed him everything. it just pisses me off to no end everytime i think about it.
  25. well i went to have my new 944 ic mounted and plumbed into my 280ZX. i picked the car up at closing so i could not call the shop back right away to discuss all that i found totaly wrong. first off i told them i wanted mandrel bent piping, i get press bent piping, that was the first thing i asked when i when there is do you have a mandrel bending machine for pipe and the owner said yes. second thing i noticed was that the top of my ic now has a small bend in it that wasnt there before. third they had used what seems to be radiator hose for a deisel, instead of silicone hose. i had made it clear also that i wanted my bov mounted as close to the throttle body as possible, this was not done and it was posted on my reciept that it was alright where it was. they cut a hole out of the other side of my rad support, that wasnt needed. all in all i could have bought all the bends and silicone hose myself from jcwhitney, spent less and personally done a better job. wasted was 235 dollar for a real shotty job. im just wondering do i have any recourse, is there anything i can have done, since the job wasnt performed the way i requested. i mean this is supposed to be the "speed shop" of choice in my area, if this is whats to be expected of them then i really need to find a good place to go to for this sort of work. any suggestions would be appreciated
