Very Dim Intrument Panel Lights
That all your bulbs are working. I though mine was bad in a 71 I had. Well with only 3 bulbs working I suppose it would be rather dim. Once I replaced all the bulbs it was nice and bright. You can find a rheostat at any Radio Shack.

Exhaust Pipe problems!!!!
And mount it up to the stock locations. Should be 2 or 3, huh cant remember. In any event if you go to your local parts store they should have a diagram of it in the muffler book, that is if they are not to lazy to look for you.

I need a Fuel Pump for a 1980 280zx
From summit racing for like 60-70 dollars, made by MSD. Thats pretty cheap.

spark problem?
Here are some of them Faulty spark plugs Moisture in cap blah blah Shorts in ignition, or the plug wires Clogged fuel filter Vacum leaks at the intake or at hosse connections Clogged pcv Dont always look at the obvious, there are many things that could make you have this problem.

280 ZX Turbo running problems
You can do this by removing the injectors from the intake, still leaving them on the rail. Now with six small baby food bottles or the like, trigger the car like your starting it. You will see which ones are working and ones that are not or are not spraying correctly. I forgot to mention though this is a small thing, make sure that your PCV is clean and not clogged. Just something else to look at as well. By the way did fuel pressure go up? A bad injector just the same wouldnt keep your fuel pressure low.

Is this unsafe to drive?
Either that or you want to take you own life into the hands of a car that could fall apart at any time.

Desmogging 280Z Attack Plan
Why? They do nothing to hinder performance and or operation of the vehicle. Hell I had a annoying problem on my ZXT that a simple reinstallation of a pcv fixed, it was removed by the PO.

15 Inch Swastikas
Ebay would be a decnt choice but I believe MSA sells them as new also. Your best bet, especially since lately Ive been seeing a trend where people will buy stuff from MSA or the like and resell on ebay.
-
Fuel pressure regulator
Honestly this would be a much better choice and it would also be cheaper. Aeromotive AFPR The unit that MSA sells is a bit to much especially for an N/A application, though they list it for that and the turbo.

280 ZX Turbo running problems
Heres the Holley pump (which actually is a Walbro) Fuel Pump By the way it is an inline pump. Hope this will solve your problems as it seems your not getting enough fuel pump.
-
280 ZX Turbo running problems
I would suggest upgrading it now instead of buying nos fuel pump. A walbro would be a nice choice. If you go to summit racing's website, they have a holley for forced induction cars thats an inline pump. It is the Walbro 255

280 ZX Turbo running problems
Check your filters if you havent replaced them. Also, remove the vacumn line from the FPR and see if pressure rises, if it does not, the FPR is shot! Trying to save you a little money first.:classic:

Malvern Racing sad news...
I know it seemed he like to talk more about Datsuns then talking about selling you something. It is sad when another of the great Datsun Guru's is now gone. Im wondering if his business will continue. They are getting far and few inbetween anymore. Sad to see him go:cry:

280 ZX Turbo running problems
Just means your coil is doing its job. I had a problem though slight but it was annoying me for the longest time. It was a stumble at idle when the engine was warm All I did was replace the hose and the PCV. Now idle is excellent and no more stumble. You might want to try that. Also go threw all your electrical connections, at the ECU and all threw the engine bay, clean everyone ESPECIALLY THE GROUNDS!!! Secondly check all vacumn hoses, make sure they are in good order, if you can replace them. Third as said above make sure your fuel lines are clear of any gunk. You can get a pressure gauges and put it inline after the fuel filter to check fuel pressure at idle. With this you can also check to see if your FPR is working properly. Should be around 37psi at idle. Check that your plug gap is correct, timing is correct and also if you have an FSM check the CHTS(cylinder head temperature sender). Good luck

another z site
Ive seen several MSA products being sold on ebay for quite a profit. One that comes to mind as I see it a lot is the ss braided clutch hose. MSA price 19.95 Ebay price buy it now only for 34.95 Yet idiots will not search and buy it there for almost twice the cost. I just have to laugh.

60mm TB

RB26 240Z hits the dyno :)
HEHE cant wait to see the results after the new clutch is in. Can you post the dyno sheet, Id love to see the torque curve and a/f readings. On another note, Im sure the stock bottom end on that RB motor can handle more the 15psi. My L28ET handles that much quite easily. Turn it up a bit:devious:

Horrible negative camber...any (cheap) fixes?
Want to check your bushings for wear. I wouldnt necessarily say go back to stock, if you click on my page, you can see my car, i have a tokico set up. its nice!

a few extra horses....
Go with a turbo motor, rebuild it, buy a good ic, plumb it, 60mm tb, T3/T4 turbo, HKS metal head gasket, boost controller, LSD rear and a complete from turbo back 3 inch exhaust. For your 4k that should put you at about 350hp easily with a little to spare if you spend wisely. Best overall bang for the buck, starting you off right away with an extra 30hp. Thats before any mods
