it does take 5 quarts with a fram PH8and or NOS nissan filter. i like to use the fram PH43 because of the anti flow back, it takes almost 5 with that filter.

if your really modifying it my 72 240 i had done the following, 460 lift 270280 duration cam, larger valves, all new valve train, engine bored .40 over, flat top pistons, crank balanced, the whole lot basically, electronic ignition and what not. anyway to get to the point the weber 32/36's wouldnt give me enough fuel at 5500 and above. i would get some pinging and a little loss in power. i got inventive with this and made them work having both barrels open up at 4000 rpm though that made gas mileage crappy. you can get them to work but id stay with the su's, if you get wilder you can always go with tripples or stand alone fi your choice but the dual downdrafts arent really all that. thats my .02

not that you would have to worry about freezing in la california. but thats something i didnt know, guess you learn something new everyday. i would have though that just from the make up it would be easier to freeze with water. yes Z voiture that is jeff priddy's car.
  17. ZmeFly replied to derk's post in a topic in Internet Finds
how do you figure that a pure anti freeze solution will freeze before a 50/50 mix will. sorry there is no way that would happen, and honestly, unless you have ever dealt with the anality of the california DMV, then you have NO clue. trust me, move there, and then try registering your vehicle. pure hell:tapemouth

i dont know what he means by not having water in the system unless he is saying it never had striaght water. i dont understand that part at all like i said i do know the guy and know him well. the 280Z spring thing may be a mis print. he is a Z lover and knows his Z's albeit he is a ZXT fan. he has a 450 RWHP 280ZXT that is awesome!! i know the money and time he has put into this vehicle and all he says about it is true. he does not buy anything aftermarket for replacement parts only nissan parts will he use. you can be assured that this is a good if not excellent car. i saw the car myself when he got it and was repairing the minor flaws as with the brakes and such. the reason i know for the flat tops is he wanted to keep the car original. i wouldnt hesitate to buy anything from him and or trust this car for any bit of enjoyment or use to go anywhere you wanted it too. the car i know for fact is in excellen shape minus a few blemishes and he has lots of cash into this car fixing it up to where is is now
  19. have the annual Z car convention every year in august near harrisburgh i believe it is but alas they are about 4 or more hours away. that long of a drive threw pa is not inviting id much rather make a nice comfortable trip down 70 to md;)

  21. i was wondering, i am wanting to get involved in a Z car club, but there isnt one areound my area that is close. i was hoping to join this club but it is about 3 hours from me. i had written them inquiring about there club and if i could sit in on one of there meetings. well i had recieved no replies to my emails about attending just to see the people and how the club works. i would have thought that i would at least have recieved a mail but didnt. just wondering if anyone knows of them here or belongs to them. maybe you could give me some insight. thanks james
