hehe well new paint that is. i finally got around to having a nice enough day to take a few pics of the Z after her paint job. well that plus i figured since she had such a pretty paint that i needed to redo the wheels, so i reploished all the aluminum wheels to make her look really great. hope you like james

the best way to go would be putting a 82 83 turbo engine, rebuild it making sure everything is good. t3 t04 turbo, intercooler and not that stupid starion one either. blow off valve, boost gauge, sds fuel management, cold air intake, stanza throttle body, 280 b 5 speed transmission, ACT 6 puc clutch, aluminum flywheel, quaife lsd for the R180 rear with hirgher ratio of course, 3 inch exaust from the turbo back, straight threw design muffler, new springs struts, bushings, good tires, and you should have a few bucks for gas when your done too. thats the best fastest and easiest way to go. you also get a 240 with about 300 hp nice huh and its all still nissan gotta love that

i had bought mine from california and brought it back here. i figured if im going to get a first gen im not finding one in the rust belt thats going to be what i want. so off i went and 3000 later i have a really nice 71. it still needs here and there but slowly and hopefully by next summer once i pull her off the road for her winter rest she'll be just what i want well i dont know where your at as im not or havent been a long time resident of these parts. im living in uniotown, off of 51 and 119 respectively and also 40. hehe if you know of these 43 is close too. id love to have a lil get together before my baby goes to the garages for a transformation 2.8 turbo, 944 ic, 3 inch exhaust, (booooooooost!!) hehe, 14x7 panasport lookalikes, energy suspension kit all around. new tokickos struts, CF clutch, havent decided between a lsd unit for the R180 from quaife or a 3.7 out of a turbo 300ZX. im sure theres more im missing but thats what i want to complete this winter at least. she will be a screaming rocket when she returns next spring hehehehe

its been raining. oh well he was sorry but the paint didnt come till that evening but ill have it by tuesday he promised. on another note. what i thought was a really good panel from msa seems not to be so great. its great that there making them again. the one in question is the center valance for the rear of the car. where it has the cut out for your muffler and the bumpers. problem is, if you get one have it rolled so it will match the curve of the rear of your car. my body man had welded it to the car, then did one side. as he pressed the other side in he found the the curve was not enough. he said it was basically maybe a small curve at best and now there is a little bulge in that area. he asked and siad he might be able to fix it but didnt want me to hold him responsible since he wouldnt know the outcome with that panel. im going to have a talk with msa about this i think i need to get a discount. on the good side the frame shop did one helluva job. you wouldnt ever know there was a dent or anything there. looks really great hehe you know its sad when you look at your car and say damn that looks great and its still in primer

the only way id put the monza system on my car is if i was going to sell it id never spend money on that ever msa's turbo exhause system is good. the pacesetter system is just what it is cheap

want a rear bumper from a 70-72 240 Z in good shape.

about a set of tripple webers but the dual downdrafts just dont have it. i know this from experience. and not the dribble of most that are afraid to use anything but su's. i actually like them. but for high rpm apps the dual downdrafts just dont cut it.

a good friend who i know and is well knowledged with Z's has had nothing but heart ache from them they will also not gaurentee what they build for you. that doesnt say much about a company that wont stand behind there own product:finger:

dont get them. there a good carb but if you ever plan to build your engine you wont be happy. they tend to float out a lot at 5500 rpms and leave your engine starving for fuel also the duals are a downdraft design. not side draft as was made for the car if your going to build an engine i wouldnt go with dual webers either su's or trips if your staying carbed

fi engines are able to put out more then a carbed engine any day. also i had a 240 that was well built and dual webers couldnt deliver the fuel i needed above 5000 to 5500 rpms. if you have the 81 block i do believe it has flat tops in it. i would lose the head on it and get a good N42 head. port and polish new seats and valves, 460 lift 270/280 duration cam, keep the fi, with a rrfpr, balance and lighten your fly wheel, have the crank balanced. id suggest for your bearings rod and crank only use nissan bearings. new rings, you might want to go up to 87mm pistons. you should be putting out some good power then have the intake port matched, port out the tb and use a 60mm from a stanza, the list just goes on and on. trust me on this cancel that dual weber carb deal. you wont be happy. keep the fi and build up on your engine

it could be a bad check valve and or a leak in the vacumn line to the booster or a bad booster. this is exacly how mine acted with its bad booster.

dont waste money on a cheap gasket. it will only cause you headaches. also to add a little. once you put your new gasket on, after few days of driving, retorque your nuts once again. when i put my new gasket on, just out of curiosity, i had checked and mine had loosened up.. james
