the vent (overflow) hose from the floats. check and readjust your float levels. make sure the system is working properly and its stopping the flow of fuel when your float reaches its stop point.

maybe it is the gearing of the tranny that is slowing you down. with that stroker in there you should be doing a better time then 15's, perhaps a 78 tranny is in your future. having it dyno tuned would be a good idea as well, see what the loss of power is and why its happening and get your car dialed in, i cant see why you wouldnt pull a better time. norm over at Zcar.com has a best time of 12.9 with a 2.9 stroker on dual su's, another went to 13.4 with a 3.1 stroker. as you can see your running a little slower then these guys, norm is the exception to the rule though. i would say mid to low 13's should be attainable. find out where your power loss is and go back to the track. your RT's are awesome though:devious:

the SR20det is a very common swap for great power and potential hehe 217 horsies straight out of the box and it responds to mods like no other. i know of one in my town pushing 380 right now, a very very sweet sounding motor to say the least, especially for a 4 banger

there are many styles colors variety of vinyl that you can use for stripes. you want metallic they have that too. if you dont like it and or you get disgusted with the look well just peel it off. me ive seen a few that i do like and think that they are tastefully done. some i dont in the end its all up to you and what you want. like yellowbspz posted i like that style of striping with the cheveron stripes as ive heard them called. i think it goes back to the days of the BRE cars and looks awesome imo

well today the saga finally ended, they repaired the damage to the air dam and reapaired the rad support that they had cut. the owner gave me a full refund, removed his parts, and towed my car back to my home. all in all i figure this was the best outcome.

it probably is, i havent used the unit but know of a few that have. some have had luck with buying tighter springs then that which come with it. others said after purchasing and following installation to the letter have been left with a feeling of a phantom grip if you catch my drift. in other words no luck. if you really want an lsd, save your pennies and get a real unit from the likes of qaife. just my .02

well the car is back at the shop today. i hope all goes well. im sitting on pins and needles. whats good is the woman got involved and totally cut loose on the owner. with her help, it seems things are getting done, at least hopefully. on another note as well i think that the reason for him wanting to help so much just as of late is that the BBB just sent me an email saying that they have logged the complaint and contacted the owner of the business. i didnt think that theyre action would be so swift but apparently it is. that could be why hes become a nice guy now all of a sudden. we will see. i wish i would have looked at some of the replies, because i would have done the sealer on the head and stuff, because i didnt even think about that. wish me luck

you need to give me your car:love:
  22. make sure the car is in time, check all hoses for vacumn leaks, ALL OF THEM, and once you have done them all do it again, trust me. if you dont have a FSM at least get a haynes and do some diagnostics which are easily performed with a multi meter. this tool is one of your best friends.
  23. we have argued, he says hes going to make everything right but that is to be seen. honestly i would rather have my money back and do it myself. so the car will be down a little time truthfully that doesnt matter to me anymore after this. from what he's said, he will repair the rad support, use real silicone hoses, and hopefully put the bov where i wanted it to begin with and use mandrel bends as i specified in the beginning. i am still kind of leary of taking it back to him just the same. i would rather do it myself and have him pay another shop of my choosing to do the repairs. we will see what happens tommorow
  24. its just the shyte job that they did with the piping and the hoses. it just looks like something someone put together in theyre back yard. it doesnt look like it came from a professional shop.
  25. shot from the other side of the rad support that they hacked into if you notice on the first attachment, that shows the dent in the ic, you will see that there is a 35 degree angle to the outlet pipe of the ic. why in the hell would you go backwards to the other side of the engine, especially since you cant go that way anyhow.
