when i had taken my bumpers off for painting of the car its how i remembered the brackets as you described.

i am i was looking at a really decent looking 70 in san fransisco but ive been worried as of late with cars ive been looking at. i have a few friends in california that have tried to view cars for me but then at the last minute the people flake out and that worries me. why wouldnt they want someone to look at it. ive gone just on a whim before, sometimes it cost me, and i had to come back and waste a lot of money. i think thats what some are thinking. well if he comes he will have to buy the car to have a way home. hehe not!! ive done it before recently with a car in florida is it that hard to find a 70-71 with a 2.8 and triple mikunis

different at least here in the states. the 260s had a little spacer which put the bumpers out further away from the car. then a filler would go inbetween to make up for the space to try and give it a clean look

will not gain you anything in the hp department. you can keep the stock manifold and still get an exhaust system from MSA for about 150 dollars its a mandrel bent 2.5 inch piped system into a dynomax turbo muffler. most seem to like that it gives you a little in the hp department and you dont sound like an angry set of bees buzzing down the roadLOL

and your springs arent sagging you could go with 16x7 wheels and a 225 50 16 tire without any problems. you might be able to fit 17's but im sure you would need the use of coil overs though im not 100% sure on that. james

and there is a write up on it i just dont know where i saw it at though. the front should be easy just by removing the bumper shocks and mounting new mounts for the 240 bumper. i dont know how you would do it to the rear because the 240 has a mount bolted to the rear of the car. james hope this helps a little:ermm:

wasnt that good but the car looks pretty good. nice and seems straight which is a good thing. the engine can be a 2.8 just becuase the head accepst the mechanical fuel pump doesnt mean he doesnt have a 2.8 block. there are several combinations that people like to use on there cars this might just be one. looking for a gas tank, go to www.car-parts.com they have a ton listing from yards across the country. looks like you have a nice set of enkie wheels on the car too.

its a gremlinROFL and its going to be hard to find i would check the intake exhaust gaskets, fan, wheels for warn parts, rotors, bearings and the like. if it is suspension related meaning you just noticed this after the suspension work, i would think to check in that area first and work your way from there. no way to really tell. just go over your front end really good with the wheels off the ground

and the shock absorbers for the bumper will come off. if you dont have air tools i feel for you. try some heat on the nuts bolts if you have torch and then try removing them. if you have the air dam that replaces the bumper they will have to come off anway.

not only does she drive a Z but she drives a stick!!. thats one thing i hated about sports cars being made in autos. i know it appeals to the masses but its not what a real sports car was made to do. real sports cars are made to be driven. dont worry bonnie your not alone i get the very same look when i talk about my Z. hehe i loved the window stickers one guy was selling on ebay "ITS A Z THING!!" well im a male, maybe soon to be single male hehe:cheeky:

its not the WE dont have a car already, the woman doesnt drive and never has, believe that. she knew from day one when we got together that i loved Z's and nice cars in general i even told her of my dream garage, 70 240Z, 74 260Z, 78 280Z and a 1983 280ZXT but with all said and done the money i have saved scrimped and made plus selling a few of my parts is what i made. it isnt taking from the budget or the us part. on her defense i do have to admit i did have over 9 different Z's in the past 4 years. so i ca see her point a bit:cheeky: bambi i know exactly what you mean about the switch with marriage. my ex wife was sweeet kind beautiful person. once we got married though the things i did all the time normally when we were living together all of a sudden changed to where the hell were you tonight. umm well the same place i am every wednesday for the past 3 years ive been living with you. there are other newer cars i like but the look and the style of the car really isnt there. 240Z by far isnt really that fast but it looks good no matter if its tearing up the road or standing still. not to many cars that look like that. on the other hand there arent many toys per say i like 87-92 supra turbos, but everyone that has one thinks its worth 8k the 90-96 300ZX i really like, but my god during maintenance you may have to visit louie two-fingers and his partner lefty. then if the car isnt or hasnt been maintained. you could spend as much bringing it back to life as you did for the car. 95+240SX isnt bad but it has NO power at all and i know dont tell me to buy a SR20det and do a swap would be nice if you want to give me that extra 3500 for a front cut. forrest said it best "lifes like a box of chocolates, ya never know what your gonna get"

but with coffee :classic: i was just at dunkin donuts and bought a fresh coffee for the drive to work. nothing out of the norm. not till i made a sharper then usual left what happens the freshly and very hot cup of coffee pops its top and coffee and i mean HOT coffee:o all over the family jewels and inner thighs. i almost hit a gaurd rail the pain was unbearable!! im off to the side of the road it was cold and my nutZ are steaming out in the cool cool morning air. im sure i was a site to see that morningROFL what happened in the end is i bought myself cup holders and had to deal with i guess second degree burns between my legs very very red and swelling few small minute blisters

DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just typed a hella messages about my shyte and i get a message in the end that says to many smilies grrrrrrrrrrrrrr well ill make it short and sweet, my girl is getting pissed because i wont another Z and i think she doesnt or she thinks ill go off to california and get ripped and be stuck there isnt much else i like i have another car but i cant have the fun car for me. she bitches about what i spend for or what i do to get a car, but by the same token it was ok to spend 300 bills on her for valentines day. gee guess what i got?? a card and a small box of chocolates:disappoin i was even told that tonight mind you and i quote "i hoped you get stuck there and cant get back" :tapemouth we have 5 years together but its getting tiring anymore, i used to love being by myself and doing what i wanted. eh relationships are shyte sometimes im telling you. i dont know what to do. just venting. thanks for putting up with me. i think im going to california and getting a Z and going back to baltimore. single free to do what i want and leading my own life without excess baggage. besides the Z just doesnt need it hell what would you do. im outta here thanks for your space time and hell if you read this thanks for puttin up with my dementia
