Well I was hoping on putting this off till next year, but it is growing in insistent on being done now. And I think I will need to replace the different fuel lines and hoses to and from the fuel tank. Now these hoses don't really exist, at least not very affordable, but does anyone know where they might be procured from ? I see the usual suppliers stock hoses for the 240 and 260 but none showing, ( at least in my humble searches to fit the 280Z ) I usually start trying to gather some of the parts before hand, and this filler neck Grommet # 17312-E8700 is very scarce, which is where I am right now ?

I have Mothers, 'Back to Black, 303 and Cerakote Trim coat, all trim dressings, but I was wondering are they all safe, they all state for use on plastic trim ??????

My dashboard in my 75 280Z needs some love, what is the best plastic restorer that you have used ? I'm always a little intimated by working with very old plastics.

I got a number of future jobs pending, I'll have to see if the Carter P70304 from Rockauto is going to fix the problem, but I bought a fuel pressure regulator as well. I'll have to fabricate a mount for it. Sure is more affordable with Rockauto. Being retired, I only have so much to spend. And thank you both, as always, I can count on you fellows for good advice. I have spent the last hour looking for a fuel pump to replace mu old pump dropped dead on me today. The FSM states it needs 36PSI, but I'm getting a little confused with some posts. I have the Bosch EFI and a lot of posts refer to Carbureted cars, what is a good quiet fuel pump for a 75 EFI setup ? and I keep looking and damn few marketed pumps state the fuel pressure of their pumps, I need 36PSI , right ? And most I look at seem to be in-tank pumps without and mounting hardware ?

Hay thank you, It's kinda hard to make out the parts name, I thought it was called Headlight access panel 82, but that is were it stops in description, and I'm not too sure I'm calling it the right part name ?

You said a mouthful captain, I'm always scared pushing or prying on plastic. It just that plastics or 50 years ago, arn't like the well thought out materials of today, and I wonder about even new plastic. but you get what you got, and you have to deal with it !

Hi, Yeah their the same, I put a similar LED in the interior light and i had an old LED 194 type bulb in the map light. A bit fiddly, but it's all back together and everything works. Looking forward to some cruising on Sunday !

Can someone tell me if the 'Map Light' is a 168 or a 194 bulb ? Or a LED ???

Hay Thank you Terrapin-Z, I didn't want to pull it down and short out the light and then have to see what fuse I just blew. Do you know how much the suppliers want for a light like this ? anywhere from $137.00 plus shipping to $265.00 plus shipping And Nissan still make the light it's PN # 26410-E4101. All I want is to replace the lens and while I'm inter swap out the bulb with a LED unit. But anything you want to do on a Z-car it is going to be pricy ? Thank you,

I replaced the shifter boot and then the E-Brake boots and I bought them from Redlinegoods.com and I had a color problem but thats fixed and I thought I'd post the finished pictures. The shifter boot is made out or leather and the original is made out of vinyl, so if and when you think you'd like to do this, there are 8 little clips that hold the shifter boot on the underside of the console, you'll need to take them to a vise and open them up using a screwdriver, or some other leverage type tool ( The new leather is thicker than the Vinyl ) and I didn't want to remove the console, so once it's loose, I put a cardboard box under the back of the console and it will hold it up so you can install the boot, then just lower it back down and screw it back together. And I then decided it looked odd only the shifter boot being a different color so I ordered a E-brake boot from the same company. Now the difference here is the original boot has push-snaps to hold it to the carpet on the tunnel, but Redlinegoods.com can't do the snap-clips. So if you want to replace the boot with snaps, I can tell you what you'll need and where to get them, ( it is not a big deal, and they are pretty cheap) But I did mine and this is what the finished product looks like :

Well I wasn't sure of the direction, but I had a picture I took of another ARV, and I put it back to match that one ? Not too sure if it makes any difference. The body of the valve doesn't have any marking as to alinement, but the electric portion only goes in in pretty much one way ? And should I put a dab of Di-Electric grease on the exposed terminals ?

Hi All, I was able to get a used Air regulator valve, but when it got here the black electrical element had pulled out, I was able to push it back in but I don't know if it is in correctly, is there a special position for it to sit ? I had to turn it slightly but it did go back in flush with it's flange ?

Great, are you speaking about the rear interior light or the console map light ?

How do I go about the changing of the interior light and the map light, I'm afraid of breaking the lenses of both, and that isn't something I want to do ? Thank you,
