Fairlady Z (33)
I decided to take one picture of the Fairlady Z33. I realize it's not a classic, but if you look real close, you can see a reflection of the 432 in on the left hand side. Well, maybe not...

Sports Car Graffiti Art - Fairlady Z and Skyline
Nissan Style Week - Sports Car Graffiti Art. I picked up a postcard with this art on it, but it got wet in my backpack. I was going to go back and get another one, but Nissan Style Week was over, and they had changed it up to "Love for Human, Love for the Earth" where they exhibited a Nissan Cube with wheelchair access. I won't be posting those pictures.

Sports Car Graffiti Art - Fairlady Z and G-nose Z
This and three other pictures were posted on the wall in the Gallery. While looking for toys to bring back home, I found a toy of the green G-nose Z in the picture with this art on the box and a picture of the artist. I'll post a picture of it once I get back to Houston (I shipped all my toys back).

Fairlady Z 432
From the observation room upstairs I got a good veiw of the gallery. I blocked this image out to clean it up a bit, as it was tilted and the 432 was too high in the shot (thanks photoshop!).

Fairlady Z 432 - Fairlady Z (33) in background
The steering wheel has the holes punched out like a 71' while every other visual clue marked it as a 70'. What gives? The flash washed out the colors so much the orange looked yellow. The Fairlady Z33 is once again in the background.

Fairlady Z 432
Now the front wheel is out of focus. I really wanted to catch a good image of these rims too. Dang. I usually take multiple pictures of the same thing so I'm sure to get a good shot, but I was worried about running out of memory in my camera.

Fairlady Z 432
The emblem on the bonnet looked more similar to the one put on the 280 ZX than the Datsun badge shipped to the US market. Unfortunately, this shot ended up kind of blurry.

A closer look in to the grill shows some strange cylinder on the right hand side. Also, the Z33 is once again in the background.

I noticed the Fairlady Z33 towards the back of the small gallery. so I snapped a picture of both cars. Also notice the Skyline in the advert on the screen above.

Fairlady Z 432
10:00 rolled around and I got my first close-up look at this classic. Details of this Z are posted on the wall just beyond.

Fairlady 432 in the window
Sadly, I could get no closer to this piece of Z car history, as it was only 9:30 and the gallery would open at 10:00. Slowly it turns.

Fairlady 432 in the window
Following Alan Thomas' (HS30-H) careful instructions, I was able to find the small Nissan gallery in Ginza to find the same 432 he captured earlier, spinning slowly in the window. Fortunately, Sports Car Graffiti was still running when I got there August 14th, 2003.

specific question on rb26dett swaps
This is the same question I had about the 6 speed transmission. Theoretically, what would happen if the driveshafts coming from the transfer case that run the front wheels were removed, allowing the connections to spin freely? Would the transfer case send 50% power to these free spinning connections and another 50% to the driveshaft (and rear wheels?)

starter wiring HELP!
There are kits at the auto parts store. I had a bad fusable link to my starter as well, but it was quite obvious that it was bad, since it was mostly rust. In 74 they moved them to boxes up on the firewall (as AxtellZ noted). I did have to rebuild the cable with the original plastic connector on one end. The other end came with the kit. Just remove the cable and take it with you to estimate the gauge.

police z cars?
One of my favorite Transformers was a 280ZX police car. Anyone remember Prowl? They re-issued the toy in Japan and the US just recently.
