Yanos' 240Z
I think brown was the original color for this car. It still has the matching (?) interior vinyl. Nice gauges and steering wheel. Does he have power steering? I know I need the extra radius on my wheel to torque the wheels when I'm not going fast enough.

Yanos' 240Z
Yanos had just pulled the filters off his velocity stacks and put it in the trunk, so that's him at the back of his Z in the first picture.

Win a 1792 240Z!
A $10 ticket got you a chance to win a running 1792 240Z. The condition was slightly worse than my own, with a few rust problems. It did have a state inspection sticker, which mine doesn't have. I don't remember who walked away with this one.

Electrical problems getting worse.
That was exactly the problem Victor Laury. I replaced the fuse, and my whole world lit up. Now, I think I'll drive to Austin on Wednesday.

Electrical problems getting worse.
Good advice. Thanks, guys. Now, if I could only sneak out of the office to test it out.

Carbs
I bought some 71' SU's off of ebay for cheap and they came with the Z therepy video. Helped a lot when I tore them apart and rebuilt them. Unfortunately, I wasn't very careful with the needles and ended up marring and bending them. Mostly because they were stuck in the jet nozzles. I got the carbs to run, but they were very hard to adjust. There were a few things I don't remember the Ztherepy mentioning. Like making sure the plate that sits under the adjusting screw that controls the butterfly opening can touch the screw as it is screwed in. I don't remember if he mentions that when the choke is pulled out all the way that the butterfly should be somewhat opened either. I fixed both of these problems and I replaced my needles with the Ztherepy SM needles. They run better than they ever have before, but they don't balance well. At low RPMs the rear carb flows less than the front, and at high RPMs it flows more. Not too much of a varience, and the idle is smooth, so I'm not complaining for now. I'll try watching the video again and see if I missed anything.

Electrical problems getting worse.
Since I've owned my 73' 240Z the rear passenger-side turn signal (right side) would not flash. I wasn't worried about getting pulled over, since no one in Houston uses their turn signals anyway. Recently my instrument panel lights went out (all at once). I could live with that too, since I can hear when I need to shift, and everyone speeds in Houston anyway. This weekend, my rear running lights went out. Now I'm sure to get pulled over. I've checked all of the fuses and they are all good. I've also checked for loose connections on all the wires around the fuse box. I have a Z club meeting on October 9th, and I don't want to leave my Z at home. Can anyone give me some ideas on what's causing these problems and what to check so I can solve them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Troy Elms' 240Z
Thanks for the correction. I didn't notice the blue in the black paint, and I'm red/green colorblind.

Marcus Graf's 240ZT
I double checked the information on this car (the card that we had to fill out an put in the window) and Marcus wrote 1970. From his "before" picture, it looked like this car was missing a lot of stuff, so maybe he just used what he could find. I didn't notice the tool compartments, and don't have any pictures of that. I started taking pictures of the VIN numbers later in the day, so I didn't catch this one, so I don't have any evidence.

Can the tach be used with the Pertonix ignition?
This is my exact setup (73 and everything). Wow. I couldn't get the MSD and tach to get along. Some suggested that I get a tach from a 280Z. I can't wait to try this out tonight.

I talked to Kenneth about finding the hardware for the hand throttle and tried to take a picture of the mounting bracket under the dash. One thing is for sure. This is the stock color for this Z.
