'toe in' on my rear tire problem
looking down at my car my tires are as follows: | | | \ (granted not to this degree of toe) Now, I know I have a blown shock on that tire. So here are my line of questions... 1) Is this caused by the rear shock being blown? 2) Did the PO hit something and bend something and blow the shock? I'm new to z's and after taking a look in the back I noticed their is really nothing adjustable to correct the toe with. Will the new shock fix it or do I need to buy a certain unatainable piece? I'm most likey gonna get an allignment at a shop and was wondering if they were gonna charge me up the arse to get this fixed or if it just takes some altercations and adjustments to get it right. Thanks.

Patching up plastic?
Wow thank you very much, since you seem to know allot about body work I was wondering if you could tell me if their is a correct/good way to strip/sand paint off of a 280z. I have some thick paint that is chipping that I need to strip off before I have a friend paint it. Also, the weather stripping allong the glass outside is bad and I was wondering If you replace that after or before you paint the car? Thanks.

Patching up plastic?
I dont really care if it looks perfect, I just want it to not drag on the road and fill in some holes. When I said fiberglass I was wondering if fiberglass on plastic would work.

Patching up plastic?
Call me ghetto, but I have a torn up front spoiler with a couple of good sized holes on it and instead of buying another for 130ish I was wondering if their is some way to fix it? Considered fiberglass but im sure I can only get that to work on steel. Other solution is spraypainted duct tape I guess =P

Oil comming out of spark plugs????
Thats why I figured that the rings were okay, since the psi was about all the same. I also knew to look for blue smoke, and did not see any....which is confusing the crap out of me, because obviously their is oil in their to burn.... I guess ill replace the valve stems and see how that goes. Thanks.

Oil comming out of spark plugs????
that kind of compression would indicate that the rings are still solid, correct? I'm not sure.

Oil comming out of spark plugs????
What the heck is causing oil to build up and come out of my spark plug holes? When I take the plugs out they are soaked in oil, cyl 1 is fine and doesnt ooz oil and read 130psi, cyl 2 was 150 psi, all others were around 120-130. At first I thought the engine was shot and that the piston rings were screwed, but after the compression check I guess its comming from the head somehow. Was wondering what this could be?

Brake Bleeding - Do it yourself
Where do I get the factory service manuals? I searched but could only find cds.

Brake Bleeding - Do it yourself
Sorry for bringing this back from the dead. But where are these bleeder valves? Just got my z(first project car) and it has no brake fluid in it, so I'm assuming I need to fill it with brake fluid and bleed the brakes. Also what brake fluid should I use? Thanks.

Why does a 280z weigh so much?
Would it take extensive gutting/stripping to loose 400-500lbs in a 280z? Obviously I wont strip the frame, but what luxurys does it have to spare?

Why does a 280z weigh so much?
Was just wondering why a 1975 280z weighs 500lbs. more than a 240z and what weighs so much? Thanks.
