heres a questions, why would you want to upgrade the alternater?

i just bought my new truck and i was thinking of getting the k & n cold air intake kit. i have heard good and bad things about them. the questions i have is does it hurt the life of the engine? will it really improve gas milege? and are there other cold air intakes that are just as good as or better and lower priced. the main reason i am looking at k & n is due to the advertising they do.

i would do the whole thing. it would look stupid to have 350 dash and 240 console. i agree with you chickenwafer the front is different i have mixed feelings about it. i love the 240z body the only thing i am doing to mines is installing an air dam and the subtle z fenders from john washington. i was going to install the 280yz quartors from john but i didnt like what it did to the look of the 240z.

i am just wondering how hard would it be to convert a 240z dash to the 350z dash?

no one said change the outside look of the 240z i love 240z shape. what i am not real crazy about is the dash and console. if you look at the 350z dash and console everything has a smooth flow. when they made the z in the 70s they were at the peak of there technology and thats what they came up with. fyi... Ghetto Blaster Boom Box was used in the 80's us youngins call it a stereo now. I have looked at many photos that people have upload in the years and there are many z's i have saw that were ugly or just not my taste, but as long as they like it thats all that matters

i have a question to you guys does your car have the origanal factory radio with the one speaker or any performance parts or even a different paint job than what it originally came with? if you answer yes than your a hypocrit. i am rebuilding my car for me not for a bunch of people that are afraid of change. i realize that changing the dash and console might be really tough, but lets at least find out from the guy who did do it how much time and money did it cost him and would he ever do it again.

i really am interested in the dash and console. i wonder what would have to be done to fit that in my 240z?

i am rebuilding a 73' 240z and i have some questions. starting with the engine first. I dont plan on racing the car just street driving. So what should i change to increase horsepower. the next is suspension. what should i change to give it a smoother ride and increase preformance. I know I will be lowering the car an 1" or more. please advise

does any one know where i can get new tan interior for a 240z 73'. i am not looking for the old datsun orange tan, but the newer lighter tan's of today. also, i dont want the diamond pattern just plain flat. i know i could have some one do a custom job, but i was hoping to just get a kit to save some cash. (the wife get's a little grumpy when i tell her how much money it will cost.)

has anyone ever swaped out a 73 240z dash and consul with a 350z

will the round top increase the horse power? or does it just make the car run better.

i own a 73 240z that has flat top carbs. i also bought another 73 240z for parts the carbs on that has a rounded top. which are better or is ther no difference.

i am rebuilding the engine most likely upgrading some older parts to increase horse power, but nothing like installing a v8. i just bought new rims 17x7 from ebay. their the Konig Imagine Opal Wheel that zstore sell with honda adapter. so with this information by going to 240sx rears i can keep my same rims. correct??

i checked with motorsport and they were discontinued. i found some one so sell me a set of doors for $200 with no hardware. no big deal since i have four door with good hardware but bad shells

i have a 73 240z and i have seen alot of chats about converting the caliper, rotors and drums with toyota and new nisson parts. if i am not using the car for racing is this something i really need to worry about. i mean what advantage do i have by doing this. also would i have to get new rims if i upgrade?

does anyone know the size and weight of these items 240z hood 240z hood cowl 240z pass. door with glass i am trying to have them fedex to me but i dont know the sizes or the weights and i am out of town. not even going to ask the wife to do it. i would have a better chance sleeping with a super model.
