yeah there isn't much rust on the car it's just the one spot on the roof. but yeah i would like to look for an earlier z but the problem with that is my budget. i'll be the first to admit that i don't get paid enough for my job. but yeah if i can find an old junker somewhere i'll get it but than the other prob that i have is i don't have anywhere to put it right now. well that's it it's not just a little spot it runs along the whole front of the roof. but it's only leaking in one spot. Jason

ok on my z i have a problem. over the years and of some obvious neglect. a rust spot has develpoed at the point where the windshield meets the roof of the car. and well i was in some rain recently and i noticed that it is leaking. so the question is should i replace the whole roof or find someone that is really good with sheetmetal work. my first choice is to find someone that is good with sheet metal. but than the question is how much is this going to cost me??? so any advice would be greatly appreciated. ok so my z that i got the last guy like tried to fix some spots with bondo and its just a mess. that and he took it to maco and got there cheapest paint job ever. so my question is what is the easiest way to get the bondo off the car??? i know sanding but that is just going to take for ever is there any product out there that takes it off quick??? Jason

so here's a question...i know that an '82 zx does not come with turbo...or at least not mine. so i would like to know is there a turbo out there that i can put on it???

thanks for the tips guys. but i thought about it at work and the first thing that i am going to do is to see if i can find the leak. but i guess my theroy is that i don't know how the last owner treated the car so i'm thinking that the best way for me to figure out how it was kept is with a rebuild. than i also thought that if i rebuild the engine first than i won't have to worry about it when i get the car's extireor fixed. but yeah my basic goal is to basicly restore the car, with some personal touches to it. and yes i would like to get toghether and meet some local people with z's. ok for starters i just brought the car 2 months ago. i have noticed that i have an oil leak. i do not know exactly where it is coming from. one guess is the gasket is leaking, another one is that it is burning the oil. it was rebuilt once at 117,000 it now has 206,000. so whould it be worth rebuilding or should i look at buying a new motor for it???
