  1. Thanks for the input, but my intake manifold and fuel lines comign in have been screwed with a lot by the last owner. The hot water system for the carbs has rotted out, and the exhaust is starting to rust through. I really do need a new intake and exhaust maniolds. I think a 4BBL woul dbe the easiest route to take.. All I would need to do is mount, build linkage, tune and replace the existing fuel line. Then I have a nice clean looking setup without any smog controls and what not.
  2. Thanks Frank. I've seen his stuff, it looks pretty decent. I'm looking for something a little cheaper though. The car itself isn't in that great of shape. I just want to get it running, and I have a Holley for it. I'm still looking for a second hand 4BBL intake and header. Will trade two sets of SU carbs, including an intake and exhaust for discount. I've seen a few used 4BBL intakes go on Ebay for under $100 bucks canadian. I'm looking in that ballpark.
  3. For '74 L26... I'm having a hell of a time with the old carbs and intake. I have an unknown set of SU carbs mounted on the engine. They are the round-top type with external float bowl. I also have a rebuilt set of 1974 flat tops... Would be willing to trade for or buy a 4BBL intake and/or header to replace the current intake/exhaust system. Anyone with parts for sale or trade, please e-mail me. mechalchuk@charleshays.net or MSN/ICQ me.. same addy, but ICQ is 30807143 Thanks

I'm looking for a 4BBL intake manifold for my 1974 260z. If anyone has some links or names of companies who make such a part please post em here. Also lookign for a cheap 6 to 1 header, and a decent rebuild kit. (rings, gaskets etc) Any advice?

I think they are asbestos. I removed the wrappings today to install a fuel filter and new hoses. Now I feel cancerous Thanks again for the help guys. I removed a lot of hoses and stuck on some rubber plugs from NAPA. Tommorow i'll pick upa few more and some more hose to replace the old fabric stuff. Then the float repairs. My float sank, so I used JB Weld to cover up the wear and tear. Unfortunately the difference in temp. caused the JB Weld to be drawn through the holes, so... The leak remains. One more coat should do it.

My cracks are very wide an reveal the yellow foam inside. It is very unsightly. Plus some moron tried to repair one of them with some sort of show glue or something. So the dash is a write off

Thanks so much! Does the crankcase ventilation line run up to (A)? Are they connected directly, or do you join, then travel elsewhere?

What are your thoughts on dash-caps? My dash has three large cracks in it. A dash-cap seems to be a cheap alternative to a newish looking dash. Does anyone have experience or images of some installed dash-caps?

Just picked this car up from some moron in southern BC. Can you guys help me figure out what these lines are, and what I can just shave off? It's such a mess. My 260Z Gallery with Labelled Pictures I found this engine which belows to a member on this site. I labelled some hoses... The setup looks simplistic and functional.... Can you help answer my questions? Thanks so much. I really want to get this running so I can start the bodywork and interior restoration.
