  1. I'm in your target as well just let me know
  2. Guys, I didn't mean any offense by my last post, It was something I had read and I just wanted some clarification on it which you gave me. Thanks. What you did on the 180 bend is a whole lot easier than trying to bend something else to fit inside the hose or even using a spring as I did to keep the hose from kinking.
  3. dogma240 thanks for a great write up. I may go this route a little later after reading how it went. I only have one question/comment. I had heard that using copper for anything to do with fuel system was a bad idea due to some sort of chemical reaction when gas goes through it (such as when it is fully filled and then driven)? I may be mistaken, it was just something I read about when replacing the vent hoses.
  4. I find it quite interesting that the big oil companies are able to raise their prices so quickly when they have an excuse, (ie "hurricanes damaged our refineries") but that it takes a lot longer for them to lower them back down...that is until rumors start flying about a congressional inquiry (not that it will ever happen) into why they (the big oil companies) posted record profits in the quarter after the majority of their refineries take massive damage do to hurricanes and they are unable to refine enough to keep up with demand. I realize the whole supply and demand economics theory but, if they can't keep production up, how can they post record profits unless it wasn't as bad as they were saying and we were just sucker punched and lied to so that they will have a fat wallet. I'm glad the prices have dropped. Ours dropped to $1.83 for mid grade 89 octane. Fortunately for us our gas prices are usually quite abit less than most other places. I know it is captialism at its best, taking advantage of the people when they least need it...What a wonderful world we live in. :tapemouth :tapemouth :tapemouth Z Content: I am sure glad my Z gets good gas mileage!!!
  5. I just used a pipe wrench and a vise. No problems!
  6. Count me in on that one too!!!

Nice looking set of wheels! Did you order them direct from Centerline?

    Pictures???
  9. I'd like to get another 72 GT. I just don't know how much they cost anymore or what the freight would be to the US!
  10. No Tire sizes yet, But I have the stock steel wheels, a set of Shelby 500's in 14x6, a set of stock Turbo "Swastikas", and a set of RS8 Watanabes in 15x7 & 15x7.5. I will be selling the ones that I will not be using some day?

You don't want to plug the fuel overflow lines. I would suggest getting an overflow container suitable for containing/storing fuel and replace them and reroute the lines to the container. With using aftermarket type air cleaners such as the ramflo and others, running the over flow lines to them could cause a potential life threatening issue. If you get a stuck needle valve in the fuel float bowl and they overflow then the fuel may puddle in the air cleaner assy and possibly drip onto your hot exhaust manifold spelling certain fire. If you plug them, then your engine won't run. So your options are to get the stock air cleaner assy or get an overflow bottle and use it. Hope this helps

This car doesn't meet my idea of immaculate. But I guess if you overlook the dented front bumper and drivers side front fender being bent behind the wheel and the poorly designed weber down draft kit installed I guess it could be considered immaculate. ROFL
  15. I hear you on that one!!! Or win the lottery with out uncle sam finding out about it...oh yea I would have to play to win huh??? Don't have the money for that, it is all going into the Z.
  16. Thanks, I like it alot. The radio hasn't even entered my thoughts yet. I am still listening to the best music...the sound from the engine:love:  . I have so much other stuff to do that I guess when it comes time for the stereo I will have to wait and see. I have a wish list growing and growing and growing at close to $20K still to spend. I am sure that I will change my mind as time gets closer to doing some of the things I am thinking about. I will just have to think harder about what I want the car for and to do. (Besides driving it and enjoying it) I can't build it and then put it in a garage or something to just look at it.
  17. Your wish is my command Alex 240Z...It came polished up real nice. I just didn't have the time to polish it before taking the pics.
  18. I purchased a new billet shift knob from Z-Tek manufacturing and like the way it feels and looks. It has the early style z logo etched in the top of it.

The fact that I own a Z far outways any other thing...well...maybe not my wifeROFL ROFL A Z in any color is still a Z. If I had to choose a color, I don't have the correct code but I like Corvette Yellow with Carbon fiber Bumpers, Carbon Fiber G Flares (just cuz my bumpers are toast and I don't have G Flares) In their natural appearance but clear coated with Watanabe RS-8 wheels. Oh am I dreaming again...sorry. Just my opinion:cross-eye

That black one is sweet...where can I get those wheels? With my luck no where near the US :tapemouth :tapemouth :tapemouth
  21. I used the following diagram to set up mine. You will notice that I erased the tach connection that they had. I left my tach wired as stock. It still works as normal...so far. I hope this helps you out. David

Alfadog...I agree that any car that old is rare now in Japan but that is just the way the Japanese have always done their vehicles. (at least for the time I was living there anyway) I would love to have another older Skyline again and finding one that was already here in the US would be a huge advantage but not for that kind of money. I don't think the GT-R's ever had molded on flares. All the ones I saw were the bolt on style.
