is that what they recommend or is it a quick fix? the repair manual i have says 10w-30 for the weather i have here.

my z that i just got running 74 260z, i changed the oil today and now its poofing blue smoke, it did it before the oil change but not bad at all now it looks like one of those chrystler minivans i put valvoline max life 10w-30 in it and a can of restore, i dont know if its ever been rebuild so i dont know if it has harded valve guides or not need ideas please!!

anyone know the answer to the float bowl vents?

Well after having to buy a new radiator for my z it came today and it got installed and she is running again, now all that is left for the engine at this point it a oil change(1 year old oil as far as i can tell ewwwww), and have to get the 72 thottle arm as the 74 just dont cut it with the 72 carb linkage, also the float bowl vent nipples? the ones that go to the air cleaner what size and thread type are they i dont have them on my car..... good thing this car came to me for free....

and this coming just after i got one on ebay....... just my luck

probably not as you have a auto.. but if its all talk, he probably cant drive anyway. now if you can test drive a subaru wrx sti that would waste his car, 300 hp at 6k and 300 lb at 4k out of a flat four that and a 6 speed manual. i drive them at my work and damn are they fast. all wheel drive to. a little ricey but at least its fast

Im in need of a good used radiator for my 74 260z mine has a leak and it should really be replaced but new ones are exspensive and this is going to have to be my daily driver. i would prefer it to be close to the portland/vancouver area so i can pick up to avoid shipping costs. thanks in advance

ill take the engine it still looks good.... same about the z tho. but its true that no car is safe for a unsafe driver.

no i got the cheap autolights for now on a tight buget and need to see if the car is going to run decent or not i have to pull the radiator cause it leaks then find a colortune.....

Can you see it? i was shocked to see this when i checked the plugs on my car i have just gotten it from another person not running cause the exsuast manifold was toast and he was switching out the flattops for some round but i coudent seem to tune the carbs in so i checked the plugs and low and behold this it what i saw...... number 6 didnt have a gap at all...... and whats with the differnt types?. yes i did replace them after this but i just thought id share

it was in a 89 sundance(dodge shadow) i cam around the corner at my house and it just went dead no big snaps or anthing just *poof*

its not much now but it does run(when i get the carbs back on it hopefully tommorow morning!. it going to become my daily driver so i plan on fixing it here and there making it good for a daily driver for now. cause this happen to my current driver and it not worth the money to fix

how many gaskets is there between the carb and intake manifold? it is carb, Gasket Insulator, Gasket, intake? or just one from the carb to the insulator?

Im in Vacouver, Washington with a 74 260z stock except for carbs im a young whipper snapper at 22

well i go them off and they both looked like they leaked around the mixture nut, so both of them are getting rebuilt, i dont depend on it to drive everyday so im fine with doing them both.

well i think i need to rebuild the front carb at least its leaking around the mixture nut and the float boat is flooding after it warms up...... should i do them both or just the front one?

What size is the Nipple that is suppose to go in there? my carb dont have them, and i need to know the size and thread so i can get some.

How much damper Oil should be in the Su carbs? there is some in my carb but not a whole lot that i can see? and what conditions would that cause?

i keep seeing MSA every where whats it mean?
