Turbo on a carberated engine?
I want to sum up an argument with one of my co-workers. Their is no way to put a turbo on a carberated L28! If this is true please correct me. I think it is impossable. Brian:alien:

Can anybody identify these wheels?
I'd like to say they look like oldschool Watanabe rims. Can't really tell. Who puts the wheel weight in the outside of the rim anyway? I always thought they where on the inside? Brian:alien:

Konig Rewinds

check out these wheels
Most of the Boyd wheels are 5 lug. Do they make 4 lug or will you have to convert from 4 to 5 lug?

Anyone know this car?
A very tight looking ride!!! That is the look I want for my car! Ofcourse I would have gone with the JDM Fairlady sideview mirrors to top-off the look. Brian:alien:

4 X 114.3
So what you are saying is that all those cars have the same bolt pattern as the Z's? That's a lot of cars. I thought the Z had a "weird" bolt pattern and only a few rims would fit them. Cool stuff! Has anyone tried to do a 5-lug conversion? Brian:alien:

Patching old body kit made out of fiberglass
I got an old (I think) Kaminari kit from the guy I got the Z from. Front air damn has 3 each cracks and 1 split in it. Can this part be fixed? Thanks: Brian:alien:

Macco.. or a real paint shop??
I would try do it myself. If you knew somewhere that a paintbooth was, I would do the prepwork and the paint myself. I would feel alot better knowing that I did a great job on my car and spared some cash by not paying someone else by the hour that is going to do a half-decent job. Just pay for the paint and time in the booth. Shouldn't take a lot out of your wallet. Brian:alien:

fender mt mirror question

It lives!
The alternator was already on the L28. I do have a E12-80 ignition modual, and I'm pretty sure it is wired up right. I was referring to your quote So I guess I should just keep starting her until one day she starts running? Definetly see a rebuild coming in my near future. Thanks anyway: Brian:alien:

I have that same problem! The car will start but when I go back to the on position, she dies. What did you guys do to get yours to run? Brian:alien:

Short shifter for T-5
I have a T-5 trans in my '72 240 Z and the darn thing with the shift knob on looks like something out of a "Rat Fink" cartoon. My idea was to take my Dremel and cut it short so it's not so tall. Is there a company that makes short shifters for the T-5 so I don't have to go through as much trouble? Brian

Future Rebuild
Evening... Still haven't got my car to run yet. But I did get it to start!!! I maybe looking at a possable rebuild of the whole thing. The car from the outside has some rust and a dent in the drivers front 1/4 panel. The interior is white and missing a part here and there. My big question is where the heck do I find a Routisery at? I saw one in the Gallery, but He didn't say where he got it from. Looks like he built it himself with wheels and all. Could someone tell me where to find one at? 1,000 thanks. Brian:alien:

Which one of you got it?
Funny story how I got my Z. I had a 1984 Ford Escort Wagon. 4-speed manual, and 1.4L SOHC. Real Beater. I traded the guy the Ford for the Z that wasn't running. The difference was $300. He was selling it for $500 and the Ford was worth $200. My wife thinks I don't owe him a dime, because the car isn't running. She dosen't know the value of a Z like us. (and probably never will.:stupid: ) Anyway, good luck with your hunt!! Brian:alien: P.S. Anyone know where I can buy a Routisery(I think thats what they are called), or do I have to build one? Thanks
