Twin Turbo L28
ECP48, what kind of intake manifold did he have on the Twin Turbo 240Z? I can't seem to find anyone to give me an answer on what types will work on the L28. Should I just find a 280ZX intake and mount a bigger throttle body on it? Oh, hell, I just answerd my oun question....:stupid: :tapemouth Time to find me a intake manifold!!!! Brian P.S. On injectors...How big should I go? I was thinking 660cc? I would like to know what is the best for the TT setup. Thanks again.

240Z won't run
Have you tried checking the distrubuter? You might be getting fuel and no spark or too weak of a spark depending on if the car it trying to turnover. My 240 would start but die in run. I fixed my problem with a "jumper" wire from the + side of the battery to the + side of the coil and it runs like a champ. Chech your wires. You might have gotten some corrosion on your connectors. Clean them out and try to start it again. Try to rule out some things. Start by pulling the #1 plug wire and placing it next to the right front strut nut to ground the spark. Have someone crank the car to see if you have spark form your disstrubuter to your spark plug. If not, go in reverse to the coil, then to the connectors on the coil. Good luck with it.

Twin Turbo L28
So does that mean that the intake and exhaust manifold will mate with the L? I would assume scence you say that it looks like it was from a skyline, and it is also a Nissan engine. What would the price of the manifolds and the turbos cost? (NO EXPENCE SPARED!) Thanks:cheeky:

Twin Turbo L28
This is the second time I heard of this. I went to the Tuner Bash here in Florida, and met the guy who had his 1971 Skyline in the January 2003 edition of "Super Street." He has a L28 in his car. I asked him what type if setup I would need to rebuild my L28. He said that with the big bore kit and supercharger from Jim Cook, all you will put out is 500hp. (est) He said that a company in Aussie makes a kit with a twin turbo setup for the L. He suggested to use small turbos because they would spool up faster. Now, of course I would have to do some internals to the engine, but I really want to know if this company is still around. I asked the same question on Hybrid Z, but no answers yet. Help please. Here is a pic, If I can get it to work... Sincerly:

Competition headers - carbs too hot
it would. I did not think of that one. I was in the process of buying a new one for the Lady, and that was on my mind. You could get some heatwrap or if the headers are in good shape, get ahold of Jet-Hot (the link is also on this website under links:stupid: ) maybe that might be a better option. Good lookin out.

Frank, I have the issue of Super Street with the sleeper cars in Cali. I would kike to put the 383ci mounted to a T5 trans. But, I don't have it with me right now. I'll have to get back to you with spcks. I also have the R200 diff and the 280ZX Half shafts. Right now, she has the L28 from a '83 280ZX and the original diff and halfshafts. I'm completely restoring her for the street. I did want to race her, but I don't think I have the expereance to do that. I'd reck in the first race. Anyway, I'll get back to you soon with the specks. Hey Frank13, would you happen to have a website on hand? If not, I can hunt for some of them. Just need the one that shows what type of work I need to do for the 5 speed trans. Thanks

guess what I got for X-mas?
Hey guys, check out my gallery. I have one that I'm putting together with opening doors, opening trunklid, full tilt forward front to expose the 350 small block, dual exaust, Brembo Brakes, and aftermarket 5 star rims. Not to menchen the Recaro seats to accent the interior. See what you think.

Yeah, I was trying to be funny with the small shot joke. I have one other question. Is the only transmission for the V8 conv. an automatic? Can I get eather a 5 or 6 speed gearbox for this. I would love to have that much power in a Manual shift. In the meantime, I'll keep looking. Has anyone heard of V8 Archie? He puts V8's in Fieros. I'll try looking him up. Thanks...

Jet Hot....
Ok, Thanks guys. I think I'll steer clear of wrapping them.

Jet Hot....
Has anyone had expereance with this this company? I hear they are pretty good. The only thing I'd let them paint would be the racing manifold. In doing this, would it be overkill if I wrapped it in heatwrap also? Just something I was thinking about.:stupid:

Our Women (or significant others)...
I'd also like to extend a thanks to my Wife. She, at first, didn't like the fact of taking a car that didn't run and putting money into it. Now She is looking on the web, and buying me tools to fix it. I love her so huch, even more now that I'm not stateside. Here is to the supporters in our life!
