Headlight wiring
I also got the VB harness. The harnesses are for Toyotas with H4 lights. That is the only explanation I can find as to why they are so short. I would hate to waste my $30 not to use it. Prox, I would like to see some pics as how you did yours. I read your posts and I might have to be out looking at my car to see where you are talking about with the switch harness.

Want to paint wheels...
I have been wanting some really nice wheels for a long time, but they are just too expensive! I would like to know around how much money it will be to powdercoat the 15" wheels I have already. Nobody around my town does this sort of thing, that is when I turn to my trusted friends here. Thanks. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=16781&cat=500&page=1

New Poll of the month!
I chose Orange. It is my favorite color. But I should have went with Multi colored because that is what I am doing the Z in now. Pewter with black stripes.

Wipers Vertical when in off position
Today was a fun day. I went to my Z-parts guy to get a used wiper motor and new linkage. I guess I installed the linkage to the motor the wrong way because the blades are pointing straight up, not down like they are supposed to. I hope all I have to do is move the arms down and remount them to the motor. Any suggestions? Thanks..

Awsome!
I don't care what anyone says, this Zed is Eye Candy to me. And what is so wrong in reinventing the wheel? You can't keep it "original" forever. My $0.02

Lady J rides again!
Restored this hood from "Orange '72", it had a bad dent in the front where the hood badge goes. Time to prime the rest of the car.

Out from the old filter

Engine bay filter
right after I turned the pump on. The car does run, but if I get on it, the carb bowls will run dry.

Engine runs only when choked...
As I read over kenz240's reply, I was also thinking that the prefilter (right before the pump) might have something to do with the problem. He was right. Remember back in the thread when I said that I turned the pump on and "coffie colored fuel started to come out."? I should have remembered that a long time ago. When I pulled off the filter a huge pile of SAND came out. ( a brownish powdery substance.) I installed a jumper line to fill the gap from the old filter. Kicked the pump back on and now the filter in the engine bay is covered with sand. FUEL STARVATION! I have atleast 1/4 of fuel left in the tank. The car will run, but I will have to shift at low RPM to keep the carb bowl from running empty. Then I will have to drop the tank and clean it out really good. Run some compressed air through the lines also to get whatever is left out. I will post pic's as soon as I figure out how to make them appear in the thread. Thank you so much to all of you for racking your brains to figure it out. Who would have thought it was SAND!?

VB Headlight Harness
I know, it is a pain. It could be the simplest thing I am overlooking, down to I just need to invest in the remaining parts for the turbo swap. Here is to hoping.... I was refering to my post because "My car hates me." Thanks for the comment, though. Makes me feel loved around here. :rambo:
