Not really, I have several places I frequent, been here a wee while now though not as long as James.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
I would imagine the Taupo to be the one that leveled the place, it's been a lake for a long while now though.

Any one fitted Air Con?
I've not fitted it, but I have removed the engine bay components from my C110, and have removed the entire system from a parts car that I destroyed, wasn't the simplest thing to remove by any means, the location of the bolts etc. of the unit inside the car is a right pain in the arse. I would offer you the one I took out of my parts car but I fear it would possibly not fit and/or the price from NZ to the UK would negate any benefit of getting it for free. I do know of a HGC210 sedan rusting away but I'm unsure as to whether it has Aircon. I can't imagine the Aircon units differing greatly between the Skyline and say.. the Z cars, even the S130 280ZX may have usable parts. Out of curiousity are you Will from datsunworld?

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Also keeping in mind that the Z Club was a predominantly Auckland affair, it's safe to say there's a fairly large amount stashed away in the South Island, I personally know of about 6 in Invercargill alone then there's the surrounding Southland area where another 6 odd that I'm aware of reside. Then there's the rest of the South and North Island and those who would not be part of the club for whatever reason, safe to say there's a fair amount of S30's still left around.

Yes I know I don't have a Z
Hey Damon, Many, many, many a Z question has been asked and re-asked on these forums so my suggestion would be to try the Search function on anything first up, a couple of different ways of wording whatever you're after and I almost guarantee it will come up. There is a wealth of early Z car knowledge on here so when you finally do get one at least you'll be in the right place (other than DOCNZ .. of course )

GTX coupe tail lights and rear panel for sale
It's all good Bruce, I must say I was a bit disturbed when he left the auction running and then even more so when you won it, but being the lights had already been picked up, I was hoping perhaps there was another set that he had. It's unfortunate for me, that's for certain but I was happy in the knowledge that they would be going to a good home. Had you not been a member on here I must say that I wouldn't have given them up anywhere near as easily. I would also like to take the time to thank Mike for his efforts and his more than generous offer to get them for me, before this all turned a bit topsy turvey. I expect to see lots of pictures though Bruce!

Who's time is it?
Go to the UserCP link on the menu at the top of the screen and then on the left select "Edit Options" and change the timezone to your own one. It will also tell you what it's currently set on.

color
Indeed it is, completely original with all it's stickers etc. still intact, the most mint un-restored S30 I've ever seen. Truely beautiful.

color
Really shouldn't be in the 240K forums but I believe this is the colour you're referring to. Seeing as Michael's paintcodes don't seem to be there any more :disappoin I'm not sure of it's rarity, I've seen it before... when I took pictures of this car, most 240Z's I've seen/noticed in NZ are Red, then White then the rest of the colours are a lot less in number. Couldn't tell you about anywhere else though.

240K on Ebay...
Awesome Lachlan, best of luck in getting it then you can finally sort out your lack of a real gearbox in your sportscar :: It will also make it really easy doing the conversion because you'll have the car there as reference. Having said that, it's basic stuff anyway. The only thing you'll probably have to get will be the spigot bushing that slips into the end of the crankshaft, apparently you don't HAVE to use it but I got one anyway, just to be sure. As you guys have mentioned, 1 of 200... not likely but I'm sure once you roll up in your GT-R Replica you will soon be able to see him right. Like 440k says though, unless you're wanting to keep your auto for sentimental reasons, slip it back into the sedan and then sell the sedan off to try an re-coup the money spent. The C110: He shouldn't need the driveshaft theoretically, only the box itself, it should be a direct replacement for the Auto. Best of luck Lachlan, keep us informed. (As a side note, I see you and Kent are bidding on something else on the bay of particular interest )

GTX coupe tail lights and rear panel for sale
My brother was keen on putting some on his Z, even bought some lamps but hasn't got around to doing it, don't really want to have to modify anything on his car cause it's pretty mint, he was only going to do it if he could figure out a quick swap type way of doing it, I think he just stopped caring but the idea is probably still there just certainly isn't a priority. I personally think round lamps on the back of a Z would look a hell of a lot nicer than what's there standard.

Yeah, it's Wills car. As a side note, it's possible but not very probable, I might have a C110 Sedan of my own some time in the not so distant future

Whats going on?
Yeah, there's a marked difference with the SU's, mind you, my single was having a few issues with a blocked jet or something and at high rpm would just cut out, it was a pain in the arse. I didn't bother port matching, I got impatient :classic: , I actually got the SU's with an L28 for $400(ish, I can't recall exactly, may have been less) I was also too impatient to put the L28 in at the same time, so I swapped the manifolds over in about 20minutes Didn't get too many comments during the SFoS, a few people had a look at it, (we had a display in the middle of a Street Race event) no-one other than the people I knew really talked to me about it. In the works, is still attempting to save, she will be RB26 powered, she will be a GT-R rep like Lachlans, except probably gloss black. In the meantime until I can afford a RB26 I'm keeping an eye out for the appropriate pieces to L28ET, seeing as I have the block and head just sitting here, just need a few random pieces, but I'll only get them if they come up cheap enough, I'm a bit of a scrooge

Whats going on?
Hey guys, how are we all? Lachlan chased me up so I figured I should probably come say hello again. Nothing really to update though. She's running 240Z SU's now, uhhh... that's about it? Still slowly accumulating pieces here and there where I can, have actually bought a 910 Bluebird recently which is also soaking the funds up quite quickly. The plan was to use the 910 as a daily and start some serious work on the C110, no such luck as yet... but I'll get there. There was a Datsun meet earlier this year in Dunedin, that I attended in the C110, I have some pictures around to show you, I'll just have to dig them up. Oh, and one to drool over; Genuine 240ZG, BTW, that's me on the left behind it.

Opinions/Knowledge on Triple SU's
:stupid: The firing order has been discussed before also. There's a thread here; http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13908&highlight=triple+SU and another one or two floating around. I fail to understand how another inline six that runs the same firing order (the 153624 that MOST inline sixes run) would be of no regard. Nevermind, this is a waste of time. :ogre:

Opinions/Knowledge on Triple SU's
Alan, I have read the information before and I actually have a feeling either some of his thread is missing or perhaps it was also split into a series of threads. .. not sure. This thread was actually created last year and today when the man from Sweden posted it spawned the replies yet again. I understand that it may very well be accurate but by the sounds of most the responses in regards to this issue that I've read in several other places, they seem to essentially say "no, you cant do it because it doesn't flow right" and also certainly don't sound as though they're speaking from experience but more because they've read that website. I'm not interested in running triples myself any longer, I got that manifold that's mentioned above for bugger all but it requires work taht I can't be arsed completing in order to be fitted and then tuned ontop of that, so I just held my breath and waited for a twin setup to come about, and about 2 months ago I picked one up complete with an N42 L28 for $300NZD .. not too shabby Also, thanks for the clarification on the GTR-XU1, i guess that also goes to show you can't trust everything you've read or heard before, even if it isn't on the internet
