Hello Everyone, Has anybody ever heard of a Nismo r180 non LSD? I've tried doing a search on it and couldn't find any info. If such a differential exists, what benefits does it have over a stock 240z Diff? Thanks, Saro

Thanks for all the help. From research I have found out that proper way to check compression would be to put all new fluids, have the engine warmed up, have the throttle full opened and then check for compression. Without any of this done and the engine sitting for ten years with only one cylinder tested it gave a 75psi reading. I'm hoping maybe with new fluids, warmed up engine, and the throttle opened, it should add up to a normal reading Anyone else?

Thanks 240zx. I called Rebello to ask them their advise on this, and they said that its a waste of time getting a compression reading without running the engine for at least 30 min. So Im going to check with my mechanic to see if that is the case. Thanks again, Saro

Hello everyone, If an engine has not been started for ten years, will it show low compression numbers before it has actually been started? Should the engine actually run for a little bit and then have it checked for compression? Please help! Today was the day I was going to get the car running after 2 years and I got the bad news from my mechanic that it might be a tired engine. The trustworthy person whom I bought the engine from, a Classiczars.com member, told me that he had the head rebuilt about 5k miles before it was removed to put in his V8. I'm just praying that my mechanic might be making a mistake. Thanks everyone. Saro
  8. I just bought a set of the gold Panasports for my white 240z, and the only thing is that these wheels dont look as shiny and as gold in person. They do look good, but they look much better in the picture advertised. In my opinion they would both look nice but the black might look better. Too bad the black dosen't come with a polished lip.

I just ordered a set for my 240z and I should be receivng them in about an hour. The size is 225/50/16 which will be going on my 16x7 Panasports. Anybody else running the same setup on their 240z? What do you think? Thanks, Saro

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knows of a aftermarket source for body panels? I am really looking for the lower center valance for a 240z, but also want to see if they carry other parts as well. Your help is greatly appreciated. Saro Fagerian

Hi Everyone, I'm missing the Z logo plaque on my 73 240z's center console. I think its used for mounting the choke handle bracket onto. I have tried everywhere to locate one but have not been able to. Any one else know of a source for this piece? Thanks, Saro Fagerian
  15. Thanks alot guys.
  16. Thanks 240zx! So it has nothing to do with vacuum leakage but more for moisture coming into the interior of the car? Will a clear silicone work in this case then? Your help is greatly appreciated. Saro Fagerian
  17. Is there a gasket that goes between the firewall and the brake booster when mounted? Or do I need to put some kind of silicone sealant? I don't know if it just bolts up or some type of sealant is needed for mounting brake booster. I'm finally finishing up my car and need help with the small details. Thanks, Saro
  18. Is any one familiar with the radiators from Jag's that run? Its a site I found on the net that carries radiators with larger aluminum cores. Would this be a better setup for a stock 240z? The web site is www.jagsthatrun.com for those who havent seen it. Basically I am in need of a new radiator and am keeping my options open to see if there is a better cooling setup that wont cost me that much. Plus I kind of like the aluminum mounts that holds it up. If anyone has used there setup I would really appriciate some input. Thanks, Saro

Thank you all for your help. I dont have that much experience with tires, but I dont want it looking to narrow from the rear. 205/55/16 sounds like it would be pretty usable, but I dont know on how it would look from the rear of the car. It seems like any of the pictures I look up in our gallery with Panasports mention to have 225/50/16's. One thing they dont mention is if they use that size of a tire all around. My main concerns are looks and rubbing. Maybe Im just too picky. Thanks again, Saro

Thanks for the site Mike. Perfect way to get an acurrate measurement . I was wondering if any one has 16x7 panasports on their 240z who can give me some tire info or show me some pic. Thanks

I recently bought 16x7 Panasports with a 0 offset for my 73 240z and need to buy tires but don't know what size to get. I have decided to go with Yokohama AVS es100's. I don't want the thickness of the sidewall to be to low of a profile or and the same time to be too high. I estimated a 225/50/16 should be fine but wanted a second opinion. I also want to lower the car so that the fender line sits right above the tire maybe even tucking in a 1/4 of an inch. For that reason I don't want the tire size causing rubbing or any other problems. Thanks for your help.

I am in the process of buying almost everything for my interior. All of the plastic panels, all vinyl, and the seats. My interior color is originally red and I intend to keep it that way. My choices for vendors are Motorsport, Classicdatsun.com, and Western-z.com. Can anyone recommend a source or help me choose one of these vendors based on experience? My concerns are color matching, "original look", and price. Thanks Saro Fagerian
  25. How about just the way it is, Beautiful. Most of the 350 Z's sold and seen around are the base models with the cheap 17in "hubcap" looking wheels. Thats what makes the car look fat and ugly. The pictures that I have attached shows that with some proper wheels and a nice drop, its actually very sleek and Z like. Just my opinion. Saro Fagerian 350Z_LM.bmp
