Bingo.........found the wires a green and a black. Seems the PO must have opened up the insulation about 3 inches back and put some more tape back on ..... The car is going to have a complete wiring overhaul anyway but at least I know it was there to start with Cheers everyone for their help on this

Just removed the fuel tank from my '74 260Z and suprised by what I see. I was always led to believe reading through this and other "Z" forums that the 260Z had an electric fuel pump at the rear. In addition having read the FSM for the 260Z it quite clearly shows a "Fuel Liquid separator" and additional plumbing of 2 ventilation hoses, none of which are fitted to my car. Anyone got any ideas about this tank ?? is it off a 240Z ??

Check with your local Customs as I belive auto spares for vehicles over 30years old are duty free - still have to pay the GST though

The "Nissan" vin plate in my '74 260Z is really badly faded and almost unreadable. Any thoughts on how to improve the clarity or is there anyway to get a replacment ?
  21. Anyone out there have a 2-seater coupe for sale. Would prefer a complete car but a rolling shell would be o.k. and "hopefully" with too much of the dreaded rust. This is for a long term restoration project. I am prepared to travel as well (within a reasonable distance) to view suitable cars.
