I am assuming it was a dealer who imported them, its just i have slowly noticed my car has had a few modifications from stock, and wanted to contact earlier owners cam

well presently its primer with a yellowish bog trim, but i believe it may have had pinstripes apart from that i dont no, as i mention it was first registered in japan so its come from there, and it has import car of the year, special edition, so that means ....what. well anyway, any body out there got custom dashes

your really not gonna like my answer then, its a 1980 , yes 1980 , but wait its not a 280zx, hear me out, its a Japanese Domestic Market vehicle, so that in mind, its a Nissan Fairlady Z, ill say it again a Fairlady Z, so on that note i believe i am intitled to be in this forum, a few people may not entertain those views but meh, haha ok well that clarified it is in reality a 280zx 1980 special edition import car of the year, registered first in japan in 1980 then in NZ in 1987, thanks cameron

has anyone tried fitting Porsche rear seats into a Z, there seem to be a few for sale, and i think would look quite good, also anyone that has custom interior can you post it, just so i cant get ideas, there doesnt seem to be much in searching thanks cam

Hey guys, im curious , has anybody replaced there dash say with a 300zx dash? or got a custom one , i was thinking about the 300zx or 200sx dash and was wondering if anyone has fitted one into their vehicle thnka Cameron

im just curious as to why the arent using the Rover K Series engine in them , i have a Rover as my daily driver i admit its only 1.4 but when i got a Z down in the shed im not to worried, but that pumps out 103 horsepower stock, so the 1.8 engine pumps out bout 210 with exhaust and cold air intake, so if you no why they dont use that engine, id be delighted to know, thanks Cameron

yeah the black attracting more heat kinda makes sense, part from the fact i only painted it 5 days ago, grrr, i live in nz so any idea who can recover dashes here? thanks c

Hey i have just used duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye, and i used it one my perfect dash and door skins, and it has cracked my dash in 6 or 7 places, it was perfect now its ruined, i used flat black on my red dash, and its ruined, any ideas, can you repair vinyl, or do i have to get it revinyld now, any helps, please im desperate, anybody else had problesm with it?

Hey i was just curious as to wether 1000 dollars for suspension is overpriced, thats for shocks, springs, nonalathane bushes etc thanks yeh im in Nz by the way, also do i have to get them specifically for my car or do some sort of product number of tokico or something fit, dont no if that makes sense, thanks Cam

well i went ahead and bought a car, its a 1980 Nissan Fairlady Z, import car of the year, special edition, i have already replaced all rust with new metal, it also came with a Datsun 280zx (the same thing?) but your rite, after buying it...well ill start from the start. I gave up looking and posted a wanted ad. well i got a call for this one, mint condition mint interior, and i gave in waiting for a S30, but that nite after buying it, i got a call for a 260z body, and just yesterday a guy called me with 2, 240z's and 1000s 0f spare parts for only a couple of $100's and one of the shells is rustless. oh god, so now im gonna get this S130 done, (suprisingly not much work left) and get a S30:love: . well i am in Newzealand and there is a plaque on the center console that states that is import car of the year, special edition, taking into account that we get all the jap cars, then maybe its of the Jap market, thanks alot , any other help would be appreciated, are the specs the same, etc?

I have purchased a car lately, im curious as to why its a 1980 Nissan Fairlady Z, Import Car Of The Year, Special Edition. (I actually purchased to of them, but the other one is just a standard 280zx) sorry for posting in a Z website, but i thought since one is a Fairlady Z's you mite forgive me thanks C
