Hybridz.org is "For Sale"
Completely true. Then there was the moderator who started selling parts to members and never shipped them. I was one of them who lost some money. The owner and Mods were completely silent. They did not offer any member any help at all. They are POS.

Not me. They are all A-Holes. Too many run ins with them. I also got 3 month suspension a couple times. They made their bed now sleep in it.

Cylinder Head Surprise.
Here are the pieces I found. I have no idea what the small ring is, but was under the valve seal. First one shows where it separated at the head.

Cylinder Head Surprise.
I dropped off my original N42 head that was on the engine at the machine shop this morning. He is going to tank it, do a surface cut and install all new Nissan valves that I already had. I will just swap my cam kit to this when I get it back. I want to get some more driving in this year while its still warm weather up here. Got a photo coming next.

Cylinder Head Surprise.
I will get a picture of it. This is a E31 head with bigger valves and had been raced hard in the past. I sold the race cam and the super nuts stiff Isky springs. I put a smaller Schneider cam and softer Schneider springs in it. I think this was fractured at the time and I never noticed it. I even put the valve seals on it. The plug was a bit wet with oil lately, then when I was on the track Friday it got soaked with oil so bad I was running on 5 cylinders. It finally fully broke I expect.

Cylinder Head Surprise.
Found out today what was going on with no. 6 cylinder. Plug was wet with oil. Drove it really hard over the weekend. I pulled the valve springs and the valve seals. Lo and behold the intake guide snapped off at the base of the head. Never saw that before.

Front Bumper strips too short. 72 Z
No I have it correct. The flat end is shown where the overrider goes. My original was longer. Nissans vendor screwed up I think. Poor quality control.

Front Bumper strips too short. 72 Z
I am attempting to put new bumper rubber strips on my 72Z. As you can see the replacements are shorter. I bought another set and got the same thing. P/N 62690-E4100. Anyone else ever run into this?

Triple Mikuni thread
Now that I have the float system corrected it is really responsive to the throttle now. Best its been. Now I am looking for my 36mm chokes to try out. Its only been about 25 years since I removed them for the 34mm.

Triple Mikuni thread
Got the correct Mikuni float needle valves. They are installed and measurement set. What was in mine were the old Grose Jets for those who remember those. Turns out they were set for too high fuel level in bowls. And I also found out they are prone to leaking. On Wednesday I am hoping to run it again. Should be much better. And here I thought It was running pretty good. Did you know there are 5 different models of Mikuni side draft carbs? Wolfcreek shows all 5 on their website so you can ID yours.

The package does have 'ATS' marked on it so may well be Atsugi make. And they also have that white paint mark on them. Thanks!

Same with mine, but the other side is a 's' instead of the 'x' on yours. I got these in packages shown from another person. It does have the factory P/N on them but some of these aftermarket suppliers sometimes like to mark the Nissan number on their package. Don't know if the (ATS) means anything on the package. I may keep them for awhile yet in case I set up another cam in the future.

WOW. Beautiful. I thought that was Ron Carters former 240Z. Who did that motor? Sounds fantastic.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Working on fitting my sliders to this seat I picked up off Craigslist. I would like to try this out as my drivers seat.
