260Z optical distributor and XR3000
I already have the PS-91 so I am going to go ahead and wire that up tonight with any luck. Any suggestions for mounting these to the body? SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
Alright, I used a pair of pullers and got the shutter off. It was stuck on their pretty good. I started wiring everything now from the optical sensor to the XR3000. Now I am running it back to the coil and need to buy a replacement clip for that. I will check out a few places today and see what I can find. After that the Ballast resistor is what I will have to figure out. Thanks a lot. I will keep you posted. SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
Good idea. I have a pair of pullers I can give it a try with. I was just worried about damaging the metal "pole" in the middle. I will see if it gets it off for me tonight. SuDZ

Does anyone have any tips for this? I was looking at it again and still can't figure out how it comes off. I tried searching around on here as well but to no avail. Thanks SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
Okay, I have a few pictures I took this morning before coming into work. I was looking to see if anyone can tell me how to remove the old shutter. At least, I think it is the old shutter. Any help would be great. Thanks so much. SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
i did find the screws and what not that I was missing along with the optical trigger. I was slowed down for a week or two between work and the fact that I moved my wife's fathers house into my garage while he was moving south. I have my space back again now and am trying to get this going for real again. I am getting back at it now and am trying to figure out how to remove what I am assuming was the stock shutter. I tried pulling it off and what not to no avail. I don't want to damage anything so I held back. Is there some trick to it? I can take a picture of it tonight if needed but I didn't know if it was keyed somehow or anything like that. Thanks SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
Okay, I found the box and more hardware: http://www.shaunandlaurie.com/pictures/main.php?g2_itemId=1697&g2_page=2 So now I am trying to figure out how to attach this one. I have removed the rotor from the dizzy and unscrewed the old electronic piece in the first pictures. How do I know which of the disks is the right one for me? SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
I will look through my crap. It has been maybe a year since I had first opened the box. Maybe I set something aside and forgot about it. It must be in my containers someplace. At least now I know why I was having a tough time when I was looking at other peoples wiring diagrams. I will search the garage tonight. SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
It is very possible I used the term optical incorrectly. Maybe it is just electronic? Here are some pictures I took: http://shaunandlaurie.com/pictures/main.php?g2_itemId=1697 hopefully they are somewhat usuable. If not I will try again. Thanks SuDZ

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
I guess that's the part I am thrown by. I see two wires coming out of the distributor. These are the only two I see. That's why connecting them to the molex it looks like I am one short. I will double check tonight and try to get a picture to make sure that I am looking at it right. Do all three of your wires come pretty much from the same location, out the upper side of the distributor?

260Z optical distributor and XR3000
Hi guys, I am trying to get back to work on my Z. It has been sitting dormant way to long. Here is my issue though: I am trying to get my XR3000 and coil hooked up and running. I have the 260Z distributor which is as far as I know the stock one. This is an electronic distributor and looking at the diagram hookups I have found around the forums it always shows three wires coming out of the distributor and then going into a molex connector before the XR3000. The problem is that my dizzy only has two wires coming out of it, not three. That is the part that is throwing me off. I can get a picture tonight if it helps but I was curious if any other 260 owners have found an answer. Thanks

Blast Cabinet - Is this a good deal?
The leaking is something that is known with the HF setups. What I have seen a lot of people do to take care of it is caulk the lines of the unit on the inside and upgrade the gun. Those two things usually take care of 90% of the issues. SuDZ

Starting engine without clutch?
I was looking to see if a disabled clutch (the slave cylinder hose is busted) would still let me start the car? I can try to start it either in or out of gear if needed but wanted to make sure I was not doing more harm than good until the new hose comes in. Thanks SuDZ
