Oh okay gotcha. I just misunderstood the right country part. hehe when dealing with people on a board that is split from the two countries it gets a little confusing sometimes. Altough I am getting some random Aussie lingo as I have been reading on here for a year or so now (only been posting a few monbths though) SuDZ

Yeah down south your going to get a whole slow country draw in the speaking. Up here in Boston you don't get that because it is a meaner, colder demeaner in people. You won't hear that odd accent cause nobody will talk to you and if your lost and ask directions people will walk by without ever looking you in the eye. The only way to get peoples attention is start the conversation with an attitude and go from there. Fun place hehe. SuDZ

Sure you say not for me to drive cause you'll be there but just imagine how much more fun you can have with me coming at you, test out the handling on your Z as you swerve in and out again. Like a raodcourse, yet a bit more excitment since who knows which way I might go Seriously though, I know there is a ton of stuff to do while there and two weeks really crams it in but I can't wait. I am under one month to go now and feel like it is dragging by. I am hoping to get my car ready for the body shop while I am out there though, that way if I can do it I might be able to drive my Z when I get back to the states. How is that for a welcome home gift to myself? SuDZ
  4. Sorry to hear about this. He had been in a few threads where I needed some answers or opinions. My condolences. SuDZ
  5. Nice. Generally when I go to a show I see like 8 bands and 4 suck, two of em are the main ones you go to see, but then the other two are someone you never heard of or never really listened to and you like it enough to actually buy a CD. You guys would be the ones I never saw but left with merch. I liked it a lot. track one (I don't know the name) was reminding me a little bit of fifteen. I think maybe the voice and the style of play, the good fifteen by the way, not the ones on Lookout that they puposely made awfull Keep at it. SuDZ
  6. I do. That is why I think the sales of trucks went up ion the last few years. They were basicaly the only RWD platform left and the only vehicles that had the V8 option other than the select few (Firebird,Camaro,Corvette). I think they finally realized that people wanted these as a more regular option they could afford. Thats why I think they are bringing the GTO over in the next year or so. I think also this is why Chevy is trying to bring back a SS label by giving cars more factory power from superchargers and turbos as well. They saw the drop in their market and the rise in others and are trying to capture it now. Some say it might be too late but I wouldn't be so sure, they also have like 8 new models of cars/trucks/SUVS coming out in the next few years. SuDZ
  7. Olds will always have some nostalgia from me. My first car was an Olds. I bought it about 6 months before I got my licence. It was a 1984 Delta 88 Royale Brougham Coupe. A mouthfull but I loved it. I went through three trannies in it, all my fault, lets face it I was 16 I went through lots of tires and brakes too But eventually had a turbo 350 tranny. Then I went ahead and took out the stock 307 and put in a 350 that was putting down about 300 HP or so. it was my first car and my first chance at really learning anything about cars. It was a testbed for everything automotive I could find and learn. I will always have great memories of that car, the fun, the engine swap and build with my Dad, the friends, the time I had 13 kids in that car, the smoke shows and coming around corners sideways, the girls, the cops, the 3000 (yeah I know it was crazy), the races, the stories about it that my friends still say "remember that time in the Delta when..." I am sad to see them go but saw it coming, they havent released anything all that exciting in years. But they will still keep a special place in my memories. Long live the Delta. SuDZ

Well I finally have a date for when I will be in. I will be leaving the states on June 15th. It is a 14 hour flight from LA to Aussie so it will be a long one. I know so far I know I am going to Ayres Rock , probably the Zoo in Sydney and a few other places. I forget some of the places planned off hand because I saw the itinerary so fast but my sister might be getting us tickets for a rugby game as well. It is kind of cool because I will be out there for my 23rd birthday (June 19th) and it seems cool spending it in another country. Like I said before I want to get a chance to check out some skylines if I can hehe maybe I will talk someone random that I see with one into letting me check it out. I have to find out what the rest of the schedule is but I will be there for two weeks. SuDZ

I am still looking at the Racer wheel myself from MSA. I have the cash right now but am holding off a bit. I am kind of waiting to see if I get enough in my reserve to fund the paint job first, then the wheels. As much as I want to grab them I figure I will hold off till I find out what painting will cost me. I mean, I would rather have it painted and looking great, then get wheels then have it look like crap but with nice rims on there. SuDZ

http://www.datsunzparts.com/start.htm They also sell the floor panels. Cheaper than MSA I think. SuDZ

Some places like Best Buy or other local installers around here do a deal that if you buy the radio through them they install it for free. SuDZ

  17. Check autozone. I am trying to remember off hand but when I was there to get a clutch slave cylinder, they had rebuild kits for like $4. I _think_ there may have been the rod in there. I am not positive but think I might have seen it. The one near me had them in stock so it might be worth a shot. SuDZ

Which kit do you guys use? The 12 connector universal kit? How well does it match up to existing connections, I see it was meant for GM. SuDZ

I found something that _might_ work. It is exhaust strapping. It comes in long strip that have holes in them every couple inches. If I can just take that and bend it in a U like way so that it holds things in place I can put the screw through the hole. This might work out for me. SuDZ

Alright I will try those places to see if anyone has them. Worst comes to worse maybe I can just rig something up to hold them in place. SuDZ

Hey Guys, I am replacing the rigid brake lines on my Z. The thing is I need those clamps that hold the lines onto the car on the underbody. They are just basicly something to keep them from flapping around and posssibly braking or something. Whenever I have gone to Autostores to ask for them though , nobody knows what the heck I am talking about. Does anyone know the real name for this part or if it is common to be able to pick them up somewhere? SuDZ
