my 72 did the clunk for awhile, it ended up being the strap

This car was a stock,daily driver until it developed mechanical problems in 1996, the lady who owned it parked it and bought a new car. This is not a multi-owner car,it is just stock 71, butterscotch with black interior,4 speed.......it sat for years with a tarp over it....I finally got it away from her last year,knowing that it was a rare car , basically complete....it has ugly wire wheels, stock covers are missing...car also has a sunroof installed and a black paint job.... Dash is perfect,not a crack.Interior is in surprisingly good shape.Everything is stock under the hood, Has an E88 head, SU carburetors, etc. When I bought the car, the owner said she had just replaced the SU's , spending $500.00....Rusty in the usual spots,car is not running, but the motor turns ,and checks out complete on compression and cam/valve operation....somebody tried to hot wire it while it sat, so the ignition switch needs a new wiring harness installed.Otherwise, I'd have her running...Car will need to be towed, but the tires all aired up when I bought it... There are boxes of misc. Z parts in the rear cargo area also, mostly 240 interior parts. This could be a jackpot for the right person/ project. I do not intend to part it out, I would prefer to sell it complete. Clear Title.
