What the hell are these?
I am really stuck with this one..I have a 74 260z w/ a 78 280 engine and a 78 5 speed transmission..Under the dashboard(driver's side next to the hood release and the passenger's side under glove box) I have two identical pull levers(one on each side. What the heck could they be for? I have not seen anything like it in any other car (albeit I have only had one other car this old)..Does anyone have any ideas? I thought that maybe it would be beause of a bypassed manual choke, but the center console mounted choke seems to work fine:cry: Help me

Headlights on ebay
These lights keep appearing every so often..I've wondered myself because I am desperately looking for European or Japanese style headlights and they don't seem to exist or no one knows where to find them..these are the closest that I have seen anywhere and they have a neat looking parking light.. I also like the idea of using xenon bulbs.. Someone must have used them because they always appear and are sold rather quickly..

25 Z cars and shop full of parts
I don't know how many members we have in the Atlanta area or are within driving distance, but Craig has an enormous inventory of Z parts as well as an extensive racing background..If anyone one is looking for parts this is a good start for you...I am going to work with Craig to try to get rid of some of this stuff so if you need it holler .. If Craig ain't got he can get it...

Spring rates
Can anyone explain spring rates to me..? I 'm looking to invest some $$ in a set of Tokiko Illuminas and Tokiko spring or the MSA set for a street 74 260..I want the Illuminas because I like the idea of being able to adjust the ride quality but I don't have any idea how specific spring rates are going to influence that or not..The MSa spring are apparently stiffer than the Tokikos and unfortunately the Eibach progressive (which I hear are more along the lines of what I need)re no longer available for the z..

If you own a Zcar, what's your sex?
Mike, You must have read my mind..I was just thinking of the same question, and was about to put up a poll when I saw yours..I just assumed that we were all of the Alpha male type 'round here..If there are any ladies speak out and be known.

Mission Impossible
Once again, In my efforts to customize my 74 I am looking for the unobtainable...Does anyone have any idea where I can find European style headlights, taillights and turn signals....There is a company called"Crystal" that I've seen on ebay that even had blue parking lights built into the headlight assembly and I know that MSA used to carry sosme but i just don't know where to turn...Also, I keep hearing about Japanese style lights but I have no idea what they look like..Do they use xenon type bulbs..? Please help.. Thanks in advance

Are 2+2's Ugly Or Not??
My first z was a 74 260 2+2..At time I was greatful to get that because the body was in such good shape..But to be honest that is not the body style that I ultimately wanted.Ugly, well that is subjective....I agree that everyone has their own preferecne , so It just depends on what you as an indivudula are looking for..

Front Body Kit
2MANYZ's is absolutely correct. MSA @ www.zcarparts.com has many styles like this, I believe that particular model is the Kaminari three-hole fiberglass #50-1422, but if you want to keep this look they also have the fiberglass bumpers shown #50-1750 front #50-1751 rear.. Hope that helps..

storage mount
When you say mounted, what do you mean..? I've been thinking of that idea as well, I have a early 74 260..I just haven't found a clever enough way to "mount" them permanently. As for the carpeting, I need to replace the rear carpeting anyway. I'm thinking about simply removing the storage bin doors, cutting out the sections of rug where the speakers face out and sewing or gluing some sort of grillwork to the bottom of the carpeting.. Any ideas..?

What is this car?
Hahahahahahahahahahaha I really wanted to add a funny comment but Zorro and Caen Fred take the cake...These have been some of the funniest replies I've ever read..BTW It probably is a fiero...

Looking to upgrade my sounds...
Grantman240z... I'm a little confused by the picture..Are those two sets of 6x9 or is the set in front of the shock towers a pair of subs.. Ak

Lightening a 240Z
I hope that these suggestions hold true for a 74 260 as well..I have no idea how much the 260 weighs in stock but I do remember that the are supposed to be considerably heavier than the 240s..Are the and significant parts that are on the 260 that are not on the 240 that I could remove, once again without sacrificing strength integrity.. im back
I envy you for making such a trip alone..I'll bet it was a blast..And what a worthy cause..Z rescue:) Ak

Side Mirrors
I think that it depends on your direction for your Z car..I mean if you are looking to do a restoration or even stay near original, then you want to go OEM..If you're looking to customize than I say the sky's the limit and it would depend on whether you want mild or wild... Ak

500+ more MSA 2002 pix...
I personally haven;t seen headlight covers sold as a solid color, but if in an older MSA catalog I saw a z that looked similar..I called Motorsport and they told me that some people simply by the headlight covers that they offered and had them painted to the color of the car..These are simply removed at night..I can't be sure, but it looks kike the show car in question maybe had a headlight setup installed in his grill, so as to keep the covers on permanently..I'd lik to learn that trick because I would like to do the same thing..Hope that helps. Bumpy ride
Thanks.. this is very consistent with info that I've gotten from some other z enthusiasts...I really appreciate your feedback.. Ok having said that i've only seen Tokiko adjustables..Does anyone else make adjustables for a 74 260..? Ak

Looking to upgrade my sounds...
All great ideas folks..I'm still undecided, but at least now I have direction:) I'll probably go with two 6x9 enclosures and a sub-woofer box, but and this is the last question..Considering the small space in the back of any ealry z..How much is too much..I'm thinking of approx 200 watts each to 2 10inch subs..Is this going to overpower such a tiny area..? Ak
