  11. mellow 1st and formost would be to tell us what engine u have L28E dah... i mean castings on the block F54 Block with flat tops and N42 Small Chamber head will give u a kick in pants 10:1 compression. Is the car auto or manual ? that will determine the ratio diff if its stock... stock manual i think is 3.08 and auto is 3.90 good luck

Sounds like its running rich... What colour was the smoke ?
  15. Anyone actually driven a Auto with a stall and shift kit ? Much better then manual.. launch harder shift better and are still great for town work... in traffic and all... just pick your stall right dont want to be doing 5,000rpm @ 100km/h ps... Auto's do better burnouts
  16. down draft carbys on a L6 no no The ports in the head are designed for side draft.. they flow the best..
  17. the only resistriction in a turbo motor is the turbo itself.. hence why u go big bore exhaust..

I went on a datsun crusie sunday the guy that orgainized the cruise is thinking of starting a club... the guys that where there seemed very interesting so any Z owners be interested in joing etc like going on cruises etc ? So far there are a few 1600's 2 120y's and my mates bluebird.. the more the merrier i would think
  19. My 79 ZX is not self priming.. That car starts up like a charm every time even if its been sitting for 3-4 weeks Datsun Fever - your car could be low on compression.. hence why it takes a while to kick into action
  20. What about a Thermo Fan ? you dont want the car to run too cool remember
  21. damn right
  22. No he put a auto into his ugly 240k Shouldnt this go in your 240k special section ?
  23. Any thing is possible... Why not get the VG30DETT engine from the Z32 300zx.. The price of the VQ35DE would out weigh the results.... seriously.. cheaper soloution again would be too get a L28 work that sucker I take it you havent thought this conversion through very much.. Another thing... the V6 engine is very wide dont know if it would fit that weigh... lenth is no problem..

L28 and L28E are the same.. There was never a L28 that came in a Z car that wasnt EFI. A L28 thats EFI is a L28E regardless of the E or not..
