  1. Are ya going to the MSA event with us? http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=166460#post166460
  2. Don't worry too much, you'll only be nervous till he pulls his tongue out of your ear.
  3. that'll work great! It looks like a 1-4 gauge in and 4-8 gauge out. The biggest wire I have on a harness is 8 gauge on the HLH w/ foglight attachment. You can even put both harness's power wires into one of the four holes if you want. Dave.
  4. Or better yet, Help me get the yellow Z street worthy and we'll both drive 240Z's down there. What do ya think? Dave
  5. And for those of you who don't know yet, JZM IS a Z-Car mechanic, if there ever was such a thing. It's all he does. He's done quite a few things to my car as well as thousands of other Z's from 69' to 2006' models. He's my personal "Jesus" when I need help, opinions or parts. If you have a question about the mechanical side of your Z, Ask JZM. Love ya man, Dave.
  6. B.S. you got a license and a Z? we're going and we live in Marysville. You're even closer then we are. I think we're (me, the wife and JZM) leaving on WED, the 26th of April and staying till sunday. Not real sure yet. I'd like to meet some people on the way. So if you are going and somewhere near I-5 when we pass by, join us. We're going to try and figure out a route and aprox. times that we'll be near each city. Besides, the more in the group, on the way down, the more fun and SAFE it'll be. I'm bringing a jug of water and half a case of oil, tools and harness's. for starters
  7. We (me and the wife) just registered at the Hotel across from the events center for the the 2006 MSA event in Orange CA. It's at the end of April (fri. the 28 thru the 30th) I'll be there with both harness's in hand for sale to the locals. (it might help pay for some of the trip) It's 1205 miles there, from my front door to the events in Orange. We just wanted to know who all, from here, is going to be there?
  8. I totaly agree with ya'll. I have a "Pheonix Gold 100 amp Circuit Breaker" located on the support bracket, near the battery. I have a few things attached to the input side of it and a few more to the output side of the breaker. I can break the circuit at any time in order to work on the car without having to disconnect the battery. Just hit the little red button and the swing arm opens. slide it back into place to reset it. They cost about 10-40 dollars all depends on the brand and amperage.
  9. Thanks for the info guys. Some one reached me made me a great deal. I love to barter and trade so it worked out great for both of us. The shafts on all the dizzys I have are wobbly and that is the main problem. Even the Pertronics would'nt have helped at that rate. I have the E12-80 on my RED 70' and the dizzy I need was going to go on the yellow Z. But I think I'm going to put the one I'm getting onto the red one and the the E12-80 I have will go into the yellow 71'. Thanks again guys, Dave.
  10. I'm so sick of these %^$# points and bad shaft bearings. I have 3 240Z distrbutors and they all suck A$$. I need an E12-80 Distributor out of a 79'-80 280ZX, for a good cheap price. I'll even trade for a headlight upgrade harness if you need one and want a good deal. Please Help!! E-mail or P.M. me.
  11. Hell, for a while there, I thought Carl was dead. Done dropped off the face of the planet. Missed ya Dave.
  12. That was first gear @ 4500 rpm. The next one will be starting in 2nd gear and try to hold it a little longer. and run it up to about 6000. Wigged me out too when I first saw the video, I thought my diff was broken or something. Then I remembered shutter speed.
  13. Finally dried up around here and got some posi footage for you guys. Just watch the first 12-18 seconds. She forgot how to shut it off when I was done. http://media.putfile.com/just-the-first-12-seconds-count-sorry-bout-the-rest If any one can point the way to some good downloadable editing programs, I'd love ya that much more. Dave.
  14. SALES PLUG.. Sounds like a great time to buy the headlight upgrade harness for your baby. JM2C Dave.
  15. Now that it's dry out side, I'm going to get a tire smoker on here A.S.A.P. I only have to figure a way to get the wife to kneel behind the car while I light 'em up
  16. I think it reduces noise in the system, Just like the one on the Distributer.

  19. I finally put the Z on the Dyno. They held it at 6500 rpm for 10 seconds to watch temps and pressures. She smoked a little but HEY, she's got over 150,000 hard miles on her and the rings and valves seals aren't so good any more. http://media.putfile.com/Dyno-Run-6500-RPM Then they did a 6000 RPM hold and HP test. They even recorder it for future referance. The muffler was OFF and brand new pipe, from the header, all the way out the back was bent and installed. Afterwards, A "Raptor muffler was put on. It sound so sweet now. Kinda has that big V8 tinny "flowmaster" sound now. http://media.putfile.com/Dyno-Run-6000-Rpm I'll Have video of the FULL exhaust on the "Putfile" site later on today. Due to "non-disclosure" reasons, I can't tell you why you'll hear these exhaust notes all over the world, until after MAY of this year. It's killing me, not being able to let ya'll in on it but give it a little time. For those of you who think you know why, Keep it to yourself.:classic: Dave. My putfile home page
  20. It might be. I'm working on the details as we speak. how ya like it so far?
  21. I'll have parts in by wed or thursday for those of you who are waiting for a good time to order your harness'(s) Don't forget that I am also offering the foglight attachment for an extra $25. It's integrated into the headlight harness so you only see an additional relay and two wires for the foglights and 1 little input wire that goes to stock fog light wire near the healight plug. Use the links below to email me or find more info, Dave.
