Don't look to bad from what I can see. But my Guestion is what is the advantage of that tank ank no matter what it is I'd have a Small problem as you can see.
  2. do ya see the picture to the left of these words? <--- I was talking about MY Z, I thought that was pretty obvious <--- And If you saw MY Z up close you'd Know what I was talking about.
  3. I second that emotion, I've got a decent looking car, I've put a lot of time into the engine bay. stage 2 cam 6 into 1 header 2 1/2" pipe going back through a performance muffler It's fast, but not 1/4 mile material. It looks good, but not show quality. I ( personally ) would'nt sell it for less than 8 grand. But thats just me. What I think its worth and what it's worth are two different creatures.

  7. this guy is in WA. state in the N.W. U.S.A. has got what you need, great guy, great prices, give him a call on pacific standard time, he has every thing. period Z-specialties of washington state Dave.
  8. I don't think anyone has actually told you that this is a ( Water valve ) It shuts off the coolant from going into the heater core ( during the summer) but the rubber seal on the inside eventually roughts away and the whole valve must be replaced. your best bet for long life on the valve is to keep it open at all times ( heater control on HEAT ) like any thing mechanical, the less you use it the least likely it'll wear out. screw that!!! buy the part and put it in your self, there is no time like the present to learn to work on your Z, every aspect of it. @ clamps and 2 crews, come on once again, good luck. Dave
  9. Please, Take Carls word to heart, he got the pleasure of listening to me bitch when I had a bad hose and thought it was the heater core or the valve. And found it was the hose, AFTER!!! I pulled the heater core out of the car. Replace the hoses if you have ANY doubt in your mind. its not worth the pain of lying upside down in your Z, twice. do it right the first time. Dave.

if I remember correctly there should be a white buzzer located on the steering column assembly just out of sight. If you reach up there when the buzzer is buzzing, you should be able to feel it vibrating and maybe reach the two wires that go to it. I could be wrong on the 72, but let your ears lead you in the right direction, good luck, Dave.

  15. It's gotta be the freckels. Seriously though, we're men, and as silly as it might seem, WE LOVE WOMEN. And you happen to be a good lookin one at that. the pure and simple fact is, you love cars and especially Z's and in our books, that makes you pretty attractive. I mean come on, what man does'nt want a woman that likes to work on a Z, especially a beautiful woman such as yourself..... Dave
  16. Everybody all together now.... THANK YOU CARLLLLL....
  17. Hey now youngen, I'm only 32 and I have an oil dipstick and know how to use it, HEHEHE And if you notice the picture is from July of 96, I may be old but I'm smart enough to post an old picture.....
  18. Well hell! If carl can do it, I guess I should Its 7yrs old and the trophy is for 1rst place in an ametuer class slolum? race. At what used to be called S.I.R ( Seattle International Raceway) In Washington State. the car is a 78' 510 w/ a modified L-20B ( I got radared at 145+ MPH by a state trooper)
  19. Best bet on that is to grind the area to remove any pending BONDO OR RUST, that will give you a better insight as to what your dealing with, rather than all of us taking our (best guess) at it. Even a wire wheel will remove basic bonda and rust, and if your not in the mood to deal with the problem (no time or money) you can always primer it for a temporary hold till you can get to it. But dont wait to long (Please) as time is money and rust sucks arse! my .02$ Dave
