  1. took the wire wheel to the starter shell and rebuilt and painted it. mucho better. every little bit counts. right?
  2. not sure If you all had seen this or not, I get a giggle every time I see it. and yes, I said giggle.
  3. this is the prephoto that I forgot to upload months ago before I did some work on the engine
  4. gave her a bath and a spit shine, so much better than the day I bought it, All she needed was some water, wax,and lots of T.L.C.
  5. thats the regular size oil filter. mine is the same size but usually anything white in color will look bigger than the same item in a dark color. Fact
  6. OOPS....... ya kinda forgot the picture:stupid:
  7. It's gotta be the freckels. Seriously though, we're men, and as silly as it might seem, WE LOVE WOMEN. And you happen to be a good lookin one at that. the pure and simple fact is, you love cars and especially Z's and in our books, that makes you pretty attractive. I mean come on, what man does'nt want a woman that likes to work on a Z, especially a beautiful woman such as yourself..... Dave
  8. Everybody all together now.... THANK YOU CARLLLLL....
  9. Hey now youngen, I'm only 32 and I have an oil dipstick and know how to use it, HEHEHE And if you notice the picture is from July of 96, I may be old but I'm smart enough to post an old picture.....
  10. Well hell! If carl can do it, I guess I should Its 7yrs old and the trophy is for 1rst place in an ametuer class slolum? race. At what used to be called S.I.R ( Seattle International Raceway) In Washington State. the car is a 78' 510 w/ a modified L-20B ( I got radared at 145+ MPH by a state trooper)
  11. Best bet on that is to grind the area to remove any pending BONDO OR RUST, that will give you a better insight as to what your dealing with, rather than all of us taking our (best guess) at it. Even a wire wheel will remove basic bonda and rust, and if your not in the mood to deal with the problem (no time or money) you can always primer it for a temporary hold till you can get to it. But dont wait to long (Please) as time is money and rust sucks arse! my .02$ Dave
  12. Hey Ed, did they tell you what they fixed as a result of your $40.00 or did they tighten every thing up and charge you labor? let me know and NO I'm not trying to be a smart-arse, I'm serious. Thanks much, Dave
  13. Most likely it's not dead, just in need of some t.l.c. If you pull it, look for any loose connections both internal and external, most of the time the vibration from your Z will cause things to come loose and the starting of the car can make the connection work and the next time the connection will jiggle loose, something to think about b-4 you jump the gun.:classic: Dave

thats why I tossed it. It was a bmp file and it didnt work It was a drawing of a wheel well w/ dynomat and where to put it

    help

While in the proccess of putting anything in the wheel well, try to get some DYNOMAT or any type of sound and vibration dampening material. Lay 2" X 6" strips at a minimum, through out the wheel well (aprox 6 pieces) 4 @ 12 / 3 / 6 / and 9 o-clock on the vertical wall of the wheel well. And 2 on the floor of the wheel well to the left and right of the hold down bracket in the center of the wheel well. I did this myself on my 70' and the results were fantastic. Just a suggestion. Dave
  16. Thats it, Carl. Your new name is Yin&yYang. You see good in evil, You have an up for every down, you see the black in the white, etc, etc, just pullin your leg. Anyways, your advise should be well heeded ( taken seriously ) Dry ice can be nasty if your not careful. Dave
  17. Nobody had posted pics and I figured you might want to have an idea of what they were talking about and if you go to buy one, you might want to know what you're looking for ( by picture reference, of course) Hope they help!:classic: Dave

Sorry bout that! had a brain fart along w/ a blonde moment I forgot about the spare box on that year of Z. the box I built was for a later year Z but it looks like your spare box, makes me wonder if it was a mistake on my part or an accidental stealth in the making. I do that sometimes:stupid: Dave.

    help

Is the carpeted box on the right side a subwoofer, the reason I ask is, it looks just like the one I did for a customer in a 79' 280Z, when I worked for CAR-TOYS@ ( THE BIGGEST CAR AUDIO SHOP IN THE N.W. (U.S.A.)
  22. http://www.cranecams.com/ignition/appsn.htm#Nissan This should get you there Don't forget to scroll down to 6-cyl area and note # 5 the adaptor # is 6000-8910
  23. Usually w/ my experience w/ crane systems, you need to buy a tach adaptor, one should be available for view at the crane website, or even w/ the paper work that should have come w/ your ignition. my 2cents Dave.
